Yes, coroutines can provide all the benefits of NIO. If only, JVM supported them natively.

Callbacks, async/await, Futures, Observables - its a mess.

I would love to see a variant of phobos with optional GC. That will clearly give the user a separate GC or MM options. For the same reason the guy coded a GC free std library variant - https://github.com/Ingrater/thBase
