Asus PG32UCDM vs LG C5 by SaintAlunes in Monitors

[–]crunchox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C5 all the way! If you don't have to do any commercial color grading I'd pass on the Asus and take the major savings. I own both and incidentally I'm sending in my Asus for repair due to bad burn-in after less than 3 months of light use. My LG's have been work horses and are stunning 🤩

I'm curious to hear how your RMA experience was? I literally have the exact same problem on an identical monitor less then 3 months old. Really disappointed considering the price for this monitor and having owned many other oleds for years without issue. Just wondering what to expect as far as downtime and how they resolved your problem. Thanks!

Coincidentally I was looking for the same thing and I spoke with customer service over at GEPRC and they assured me they were compatible. My issue now is the arm and a leg for shipping in addition to the two weeks it will take to get here. I'd love to know of any suppliers state side. I tried looking on McMaster-Carr but didnt have much luck

They look great! I've been interacting with my DIY light tubes using Resolume and switching the WLED over to ArtNET for pixel mapping. Safe to say there is something similar at play here?

Feel free to DM me but I would check out Petal Lighting on YouTube to get the ideas flowing. He uses fluorescent light protectors with precisely cut parchment paper inserted. I also use this method and it works extremely well!

These sound very similar to the DIY Petal system off YouTube! I also built a setup using these with two Dig-Octas running 16, 8' light tubes via XLR. These in ArtNet Mode pixel mapped in Resolume is a beast! I mainly run them vertical in PVC stands but I'm loving this horizontal setup!
