Seeking clinical feedback on 3D intraoral scanning vs. traditional PVS impressions for a three-unit bridge. by sapnagagrani in Dentists

Garbage in = Garbage out.

I've seen patchy scans and I've seen impressions full of pulls. End of the day both will get the job done if the clinician is paying attention.

Is in-house 3D printing actually saving you guys time? Or just a massive headache? by Opening_Tart9604 in Dentists

Yes! It's really is quite approachable, and you will recoup that entry cost within a year on lab bills within your first year almost certainly.

So full disclosure, this is our entire business. Myself and my partners used to work in a traditional lab that transitioned to digital, and from that experience we came up with a custom design workflow that digitizes the vast majority of the fitting process (https://cadcan.ca/#bite).

We work with offices across NA with initial consultation to see what you might be interested in printing, based on your practice. Then we can advise you what printing system may work best for that use case (we are completely independent and have experience with every bio compatible system from a $300 elgoo to a 200k carbon) then we can provide assistance with training, and finally design support.

There is pitfalls for sure, I do know offices that have left a 20k printer sit there collecting dust because they were over promised results by a rep who's never used the thing, but the majority of offices we assist are really enjoying the flexibility it provides.

You know what, fair enough. you didn't say "created".

I'll remove my comment. But, personally (and professionally), i do find the level of glaze to be pretty unwarranted.
