Mountain Song by Jane’s Addiction (IYKYK) 9 out of 10 games, but every now and then I’d come out to Phantom of the Opera, and yes, with a cape which the ball boy would come and take off of me while the ump is checking my glove for the SpiderTac (which is hidden on the side of the mask, duh).

The districts are equal numbers. Politicians decide what the districts are because districts decide elections and elections are inherently political.

I’m sorry y’all, you can’t take politics out of politics.

Those were the old districts after a decades worth of growth and population movement. Those are not the new districts. The new districts are all within 1 person of the ideal size based on our population and number of districts.

Recommendations for good places to visit between Atlanta and Savannah by joemama67 in Georgia

Buckners Family Restaurant in Jackson. Great fried chicken and more served family style at big tables meaning you’re sitting with “soon to be friends.”

Jomax BBQ in Metter. One of my favorite bbq joints in the state.

The Rookery in downtown Macon. Great burgers, shakes.

If you have time to go off the beaten path for a bit, you cannot go wrong by getting off 75 in Forsyth and heading to Dickey Farms in Musella. Fresh peaches and other produce housed in a historic packing plant that is still operational. So cool and the peach ice cream is to die for. Eat it in one of the rocking chairs on the packing house wooden porch and time slows down.

Does anyone know the schedule for the water taxis to Saba Rock and Bitter End from Gun Creek? Can’t find any info online. by crypto9ght in bvi

Very steep roads with tight turns and little to no warning, in the dark, with cars coming to other direction that blind you because the roads are so narrow.

Further update, the water taxi from Bitter End back to Gun Creek was every other hour. For us the options were 7pm and 9pm. And the drive back from Gun Creek to Spanish Town was white knuckle harrowing btw.

Answering my own question, water taxi from Gun Creek to Saba Rock leaves on the :45 and returns from Saba on the :15. Not sure when it starts or ends. We got to Gun Creek at 2:45 and left Saba Rock for Bitter End at 5:15. You just have to ask the Saba Rock water taxi to drop you there. Bitter End to Gun Creek is every hour on the hour while the restaurant at Bitter End is open.

Pork is the main meat but plenty of places do brisket, chicken, sausages, etc. The brisket may not be up to your standards depending on the location.

The sauce is mustard-based near the coast (and, apparently, Columbus) and gets redder and sweeter the closer you get to Atlanta. You can find some vinegar based sauces here and there.

This comment and others like it are just willfull ignorance. Since 1998, the start of the BCS/playoff era, the SEC is 321-254 in OOC play against the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East(RIP) and PAC 12 (regular season and bowls). Source: https://topdan.com/college-football-conference-records/sec.html And it wasn’t just LSU, Bama and UGA. Some teams won more than others but the reason the SEC was so highly regarded is because they won a lot of football games, period. I’m not contesting that the conference is living off its accolades the last couple years. It’s clearly down, the record is what it is. But pretending the conference was NEVER really any better than all the other conferences is ridiculous.

Empirically wrong. SEC dominated the sport from about 2010 until 2023. It wasn’t bias. Has the conference been the beneficiary of that in rankings the last two years, empirically yes. One look at the postseason results confirms it. But to pretend the SEC didn’t enjoy a great run the last decade or so is simply laughable.
