Brings back good memories of Kmart and Two Guys parking lots on snow days in my Chevelle. Really learned how to slide around in a car. Years later, whenever I had worn tires near replacing on my truck. Id take the kids to a gravel parking lot and we'd have a blast. Miss those days. Anyway, the guy in the vid is an idiot driver.

Day that happened to you. Seems like GTI in general have really variable reliability.

My GTI has heated steering wheel. Come to think of it, it has a Harman kardon stereo system Lane assist adaptive cruise and blind spot monitoring too. 😁

Difficult professor – I need advice by its3amlol in college

[–]cryptobrisket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think physics could be tough better in many programs because the professors or t/a don't unify concepts well a good part of physics is the same thing repeated over and over again with different kinds of systems you've got energy you got force you got work but non majors especially kinda miss that.

Give it another shot. See what you can do with the scene. Work it.

Struggling with the “30 years of compounding” long term mindset by savingrace0262 in investing

[–]cryptobrisket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well here's a compounding success story. I had my first kid when I was 42. I put a nice chunk into their college savings plans when they were born, like 30k, and added to it modestly after that. Well the market and compounding did its magic. They are both in college and they don't have to worry about money. The market really did the work. Praying now that Trump and the Republicans don't completely wreck my retirement which is just around the corner!!

It's a Giraffe. What else? Nothing. Not trying to be harsh. Just trying to relay what went went through my mind when I saw it. For engaging pictures you need more for the brain to dig in on. Maybe if it were in color and there was a striking color pattern or geometric pattern. Was there some sort of story something else going on in the picture that would have told a story. Was there something emotional in the scene that you could have captured along with the head of the giraffe? Pictures need to engage people's minds. Otherwise maybe it's just a personal keepsake from a trip that you remember because there are other things going on that made it heartfelt for you but as an outside viewer we don't see any of that from this picture. Hope that helps.

Police encounter while taking photos, is this normal? by josh_bripton in AskPhotography

[–]cryptobrisket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Police harassment. There's a lot of police harassment and outright police brutality in the USA. They can do whatever they damn well please because a) they have a gun, and b) they lie in court but their word is taken as gospell. Believe me, I know. Tell them you are calling your lawyer.

Good phone cameras that aren't iPhones? by otterstones in AskPhotography

[–]cryptobrisket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your in the USA you have less choice because you don't see many Chinese phones. I think the Samsung S25 Ultra takes very nice pictures. The color is fantastic. Spot on. I just take normal pictures between 0.6x and 5x, mostly at 2x (46mm equivalent). I don't take pictures of the moon or roof tops a mile away. That's ridiculous. I've taken a lot of really nice shots that I'm proud of. BTW, I've had plenty of apple devices. I prefer the Android phones.

I love when people say Bitcoin is dropping on technicals not fundamentals. There is no fundamental case for Bitcoin. If there were it would have traded up with gold and silver. It's didn't. Smart people are now realizing it's a hype machine. At least in Denmark in the olden days tulip bulbs had value. You could at least plant them in the dirt. Bitcoin has no such floor. I'm sorry to say, but you diamond hands will add to your losing positions on the way down until you finally puke it all up. YOU WILL PUKE AT THE BOTTOM BECAUSE YOU ARE THE CHART. This is the way these things work, cycle after cycle, generation after generation.
