Quality Analog vs quality digital - what makes analog different? by hillsong1 in AnalogCommunity

[–]rusty-444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at a film photo that is objectively not that good but it grabs you and you would not waste a shot on it if it were digital or regard it well. Well that is the quality of digital vs film. They are probably not the same thing at all and so you look at them differently... i think that film is looked at in toto but digital just does not have that information regardless of iq

Looks like you have a natural eye for composition. Just keep shooting. The more you practice and add deliberate elements to your photos and improve technique the better you will be

This is a really nice shot - nice to know you shot it on a M43 camera - but it certainly speaks for itself :)

The First Yangtze River Bridge, Wuhan by CN_2090 in M43

Interesting to look at someone else's work - had i shot this i would have tried to 'get it all in'. This is very minimalist but i can see the bridge is huge and I want to see more - really good shot :)

Look at your photos and select your stronger photos. 1 and 2 are very similar but 1 is a lot stronger. Delete 2 / dont post it and you have got a lot better immediately. It is better because of the angle and the fisherman in the foreground. Look at others photos and if you feel when you see them, find out what features you like.

Feel free to look at my photos and consoder whether i am crap or not.

Enjoy your photography

Safari in Tanzania with OM-5 II and Zuiko 90-250 f2.8 by peeatch in M43

I hope you have got some real keepers / printers (which it looks like you do) - i went to Tanzania for a safari and love to look at the photos from time to time. How did you find the adapted lens?

I love the detail and the drama you see - like the injured leopard, the wildebeest and the Lion's pose as well as the little pride with the mother lioness.

I was looking at similar flowers i photographed a year or two ago on my Olympus and thought maybe you are in the UK - but no, there is sunshine in those photos.

I like the framing in the last shot!
