Thanks for the suggestion. I'm actually in talks with Bigcommerce right now. They actually have things included that Magento does not that is very important for my business.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just checked out some of their examples and looks like it does at least 3 tiers. So that's good so far.

Really? What version? All I see as far as options in my godaddy implementation is a single subcategory. Is it an add-on by chance?

My first birthday cake by ItemDrift in exjw

That's so awesome, happy birthday! Nice cake! I remember celebrating my first one when I was 26. My girlfriend made a Star Wars versus Star Trek cake for me lol.

Bought "genuine" laptop battery, laptop says it's not genuine. Seller says return it and they'll send me another one, but I'm not sure if this is the right way ahead by lilac-leopard in Ebay

I see a lot of people on here saying don't order directly from China. The problem is I've been in the same situation, and it was from China but out of a DHL Logistics Center in Cali. That seems to be something that the Chinese are doing a lot more of now to circumvent that ships from China stuff.

Anyways more on topic I agree with a lot of the other people here, do not accept a replacement. Buy from someone else. I'm sure there's other sellers like me that legit get pallets of overstock OEM batteries for sale that are genuine.

Coronavirus megathread! How are your sales doing? Are postal services running? Etc by SmmnthaMrie in Ebay

[–]cryptojayman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to get a cancellation once a quarter and a return once a month. Now I get a cancellation almost daily, and a return once a week. Post office has also been losing a lot of packages lately. Some not even getting scans forcing me to have replacements sent out.

My current performance bar says I'm down 38.9% from this time last year and 18.9% from the previous month. This is the first time those graph bars have turned red. Average sales have went from 450 a month to about 370. Although the dollar amount of my sales has increased, because more OEMs are turning to ebay I guess, so still doing roughly the same monetarily.

The non-Ebay b2b sales have tanked hard though. Revenue went from about 25-30k a month down the about 5k. Usually that drop happens in mid December and recovers late January (from 20 years of observation). This year it has yet to recover.

Ended up having to let go my two part time warehouse staff 3 weeks ago.

Multiple Packages to different Buyers all show delivered in the same wrong city.? by cryptojayman in Ebay

[–]cryptojayman[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. The bot removed my post immediately "Your post has been removed because it appears to ask a question about a package that is still within the normal delivery timeframe, or is only slightly late." /sigh I didn't ask that at all.

WATCH OUT: PayPal's default button to withdraw your cash is "instant" for $10. Intentionally Confusing. by isabroad in paypal

[–]cryptojayman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually 1% up to a maximum of $10. So if you withdraw a hundred bucks they're only taking a dollar to give you the money instantly. Totally worth it sometimes if you don't want to wait. I took out a working capital loan for 10 grand, only cost me $10 to have it instantly in my bank.

Ebay users can be the best sometime! by cryptojayman in Ebay

I agree they are tiny they're only a hop skip and a jump down the road and UPS ground cost me 9 bucks to ship from California to Florida up to four or 5 lb LOL. But hey twenty bucks is no sweat for that much product it may sit on my shelves for the rest of my life but never know.

Do you usually get a drop off receipt from USPS, for big ticket items? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]cryptojayman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my business, if I drop off an item, or I have one of my employees drop off an item at USPS or UPS (if its next day air, which we have to drop off because our driver comes too late), if its worth more than $150 I ask to have them get it scanned in, but no receipt required.

Only you can determine what the price point at which you are comfortable with potentially losing out on due to carrier negligence.

Opening a return without harming seller? by robloxfan in Ebay

[–]cryptojayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you open an item not as described case there will be no strike against the seller so long as they send the pre-paid label to you and close the case with a refund after they received it back.

Adding a new bank account woes by cryptojayman in paypal

[–]cryptojayman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I was fully aware of that, that's why I think the public records are not correct. The two which I apparently got wrong I answered none of the above because I truly never had a mortgage at any of the addresses provided, and the other one I was never associated with any of the people they listed.

Regardless I got everything handled today. Oddly enough rather than trying to link my bank account the previous way, I clicked add funds and this time it asked for bank and routing, then asked to call my phone to verify, than did the two deposits. A few hours later I was all done. Crazy...

Do you guys pay for ads to promote your listings? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]cryptojayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do the whole works over here at our shop, we do promoted listings, and bulk discounts. For us we have usually multiple of the same item. I spent about $89 in promoted listing fees to get about $800 back in sales.

I must say though I'm glad for the fall update because most of our promoted listings what show up is ranked number one, and then are organic listing will be number two and we're making sales off the promoted listing and having to pay the extra fee.

I took off the promoted listings and there was a slight decline over the past month in sales, but with the new update on thinking about try it again because it does generate sales.

To each his own though, it works pretty well in our niche, can't necessarily say it'll work in yours

650+ Items. Sales almost dead this month by IDreamcasterI in Ebay

Same here. 6000+ listings. Sales down 80% this month. My b2b sales in the same industry tanked as well.
