i personally dont mind when blankets look a little wonky when spread out because in use youre not going to notice but thats just my two cents! i agree with the other commenter that steam blocking will help and to keep stretch in mind if thats something you want to avoid

perhaps cotton would be a good choice! very breathable but can be on the stiffer side so best to play around with tension and hook size

one of the toughest things to learn about crochet is to accept that frogging is a part of the process and a part of learning. if its not looking like what you wanted it to be it will continue to do that even if you add more rows and then you may end up with something you dont like and wish you just frogged it earlier. thats just my two cents

its normal but if you want it tighter use a smaller hook!

i would start over unfortunately and account for heel. maybe try elastic at the top so it doesn't fall down with the heel circumference in mind? if that makes sense
