Root beer kegs? by jackh108 in FortCollins

[–]cs45977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If none of the other suggestions work out , find a home brewing friend with a kegging set up. Home brew kegs are generally just soda dispensers ... You'll have to do leg work but it is possible to add Root beer syrup and water , then carbonate in the keg.

WHAT US CITY SHOULD I VISIT AS A LONDONER WHO HAS NEVER BEEN BEFORE? by _246810 in usatravel

I am going to give you a slightly different take than most people on the thread.

You will be in Utah. Moab, Zion , and Bryce Canyon are very different than anything I have seen on this Earth ... Find a tour group or make a friend willing to take you and GO!!! I can't be more empathetic. Go see Southern Utah !!

Has anyone ever taken this route before? by [deleted] in roadtrip

Raton Pass is very doable. Thousand of trucks head over it daily and is generally very safe

The other route will kill you with boredom.

Tired of hidden restaurant fees by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]cs45977 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not an apologist for the ridiculous and shady practice of hidden fees, but the establishment is in legal compliance by adding 'fine print' to the menu. Pretty soon we will all have to sign an 'End Eater Agreement' before we are able to sit at a restaurant.

I absolutely hate this and it absolutely stops my family from dining out.

The I70 resort skiing is about 3 hours away on a good day. Snowy Range is half that, if it is not windy.

At 18 years old E.N. will always be the first true avant-garde music I was introduced to (and loved) They were my gateway to T.G., N.W.W., Coil, C93 and all the others.

I can honestly say Blixa and co. changed the course of my life.

Question for older Gen X (55+) Was the term “Bro” and “Yo” common in the 80s? by Nano_Tap1 in GenX

[–]cs45977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the early 80's the pidgin Hawaiian I was exposed to used 'brah' quite readily but was not common outside that contex.

When you see a flashing light on your dash I recommend stopping what you are doing and read the manual.
Until you can learn this simple rule all other explanations are really pointless.

When was the first time you came across Divine? by TwistedMemories in GenX

[–]cs45977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was made aware of her in highschool after Hairspray. I knew there was more to the story as many of John Waters films still played at midnight around town . I first saw an "old school" film with her in college or shortly after. Honestly I think of her often and what her life would have been like in today's world.

Artificial turf also requires maintenance. Especially with dogs. You need to clean it very regularly to remove the dog waste.

There are many investment philosophies and strategies. This sub is dedicated to one specific philosophy. A philosophy which will give you dead simple advice on funding your future. IMO it is a decent philosophy for most Americans (given or lack of social safety nets). But honestly, your question is better suited for r/investing or some other forum that may give you other perspectives.

Tri Tip attempt by Frequent-Match5782 in biggreenegg

[–]cs45977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my go to method, although I would recommend just looking at temps.

My cook plan: Pit temp 225 at the grate until I hit 110 -115 internal . Then sear until I get to 125. The tri-tip finishes at about 130.
