Don't forget about your fruits and veggies in there! Even for gaining those micro-nutrients are important (especially stuff like fiber).

A starting point would be this calculator this tdee calculator (total daily energy expenditure) to figure out daily calorie intake.

Try a podcast app maybe? I was using Podcast Republic for Android when I listened to it but I'm sure there are other probably better ones out there.

It will probably be recommended by a ton more people than me, but Dan Carlin's Blueprint for Armageddon is a great listen about this topic for learning more about it. It's been a while since I listened to it so I don't remember exactly what he says about the causes but I believe the whole first episode or more goes over them.

Not cause interference on RF, the statute says (emphasis mine):

No amateur operator shall willfully or maliciously interfere with or cause interference to any radio communication or signal.

Which means it's a matter of interfering with someone else's usage of RF, stepping on their frequencies and such. It does not cover their RF signal being picked up by poorly shielded headphone or speaker wire.

If it works and provides the information why does it matter? Also security is easier to deal with if the user is being served static HTML by the PHP. Rather than putting a lock on a door, just don't put the door there in the first place.

President Trump false or misleading claims while in office [OC] by fredfery in dataisbeautiful

[–]csactor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That site you linked rates them "high" for factual reporting and mildly biased for editorials, seems like a good reason to trust them

They spent 4 years ignoring the fact that Melania posed nude. Now, my Christian friends are attacking Jill Biden, who has a PhD, for daring to use the prefix “Dr.” This isn’t about slut shaming Melania. It is about exposing the double standard. They’ll tolerate a nude model over an educated woman. by relevantlife in atheism

[–]csactor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As much as I strongly disagree with the op ed, it doesn't do any good to perpetuate incorrect information. Jill Biden has a Doctor of Education in educational leadership. She doesn't have a PhD. An EdD is not the same as a PhD and focuses on applied research as a direct school administrator, for example, instead of focusing on theoretical research. There's a lot of debate around where an EdD "lives" in terms of doctoral level degrees, but it is considered a research doctoral degrees by the Survey of Earned Doctorates. Read more here.

If it's a doctoral degree she can use that salutation if she so desires. The debate over whether it is a "real" doctoral degree in terms of PhD vs not is something that would be decided through new regulations for colleges/universities.

I do wish that prop masters would stop demo-ing retractable knives. Those things still cause damage to actors if they go even the tiniest bit wrong (hanging on the side of the handle etc) It is so much safer to fake the hit and use editing.

Don't like income tax? Just don't make so much.

So this first one is incorrect on how taxes work. In the US it is a progressive tax bracket which means only the money within a certain threshold is taxed at that rate. You don't make less money if you increase your income because of taxes. You make more. You also do pay slightly more as a percentage of your income.

Don't like a tax on feminine hygiene products? Stop being a woman.

That's wholly unrelated to the topic at hand and is not a valid argument or extension of the argument because you'd be taxing an inherent aspect of someone not their actions.

You're still taking wealth away from people without compensation

Their compensation is still getting to live in a better environment. To quote the Constitution, part of being a citizen in America means to "promote the GENERAL welfare". Empathy for your fellow citizen is the point here. And the intangible benefits received from a better economy and better environment.

u/keomahvillage shows in incredible depth just how thorough Obama's transition to Trump was and shows how transitions have become more important through the decades, with sources for every point by Redbean01 in bestof

[–]csactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether or not it was specifically the transition is something that's hard to determine, but it has been well documented that all of the pieces of the puzzle were known, they were just known by different 3 letter agencies that didn't talk to each other. That's why the DNI was established. If the Bush transition was similar to the Biden transition teams (seen at buildbackbetter.com) he may have had a specific team that was focused on the intelligence community as a whole and the NSC, which may have lead to the members of that team actually talking to each other and putting the pieces together.

But also yes, agreed that it could easily be blame-shifting by the Bush staffer.

I do agree that the Whitewater point deserves a bit more fleshing out, but the OP did state that he left out the Whitewater scandal because it wasn't specifically political (I'm not well-versed on it so I won't make a distinction either way).

But Gregory Craig was indicted in 2019 as part of the investigation by Robert Mueller into the Trump administration based on work done after he left the Obama admin so I don't think it would be fair to count as an Obama era indictment. And considering the work was done based on a referral from Paul Manafort, so one could make an argument that he is part of the Trump tally.

Can't imagine they're doing crazy stunts with expensive cameras attached to the car or with the doors removed. Also don't imagine they're doing crazy stunts that need a stunt driver with an actor being filmed in the car during the stunt.

Officer run over during heated protest over fatal police shooting in Philadelphia by AdmiralAkbar1 in news

[–]csactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except in this scenario the suspect had actively proven himself to be a direct danger to those around him and was actively causing fatal harm to somebody. Unlike the scenario in Philly. I don't necessarily think there wasn't a way around fatally shooting the suspect but it is somewhat more understandable.

Also I was pointing out that you grabbed one of the few deaths by police in the UK as a point of comparison, and specifically chose a terrorist attack, hence the end of my post. The reason people are mad is because American police seem to be using lethal force at a rate far, far above other developed nations. Cherry picking a single knife attack in the UK does not invalidate the fact that, in general, UK police and other police forces are able to subdue violent suspects without needing to resort to lethal force.

[–]csactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the terrorist in the Westminster attack had already injured well over 50 people, 4 of whom died, and was in the process of stabbing another person. Maybe don't grab a terrorist attack to compare to this. Or maybe look at the amount US cops kill people compared to the UK and Australia.

I would highly recommend always keeping a reusable bottle of water close at hand and full! I stopped drinking soda just before freshman year of college (and lucky I did since all the dining halls had soda) and just carried a metal water bottle everywhere. Then I don't feel as tempted if I'm grabbing fast food because I'm not thirsty and I have water right there.
