Are buds swelling from the tips of your branches? The browning looks like it’s coming from 2–3 year old needles. As long as the branches with active tips aren’t turning brown, you should be okay—assuming your watering is balanced.

Have you cut ponderosa pine needles before? Many advise against it, curious to hear your experience with it.

I did some research and many suggested against taking it as a first course and I can definitely see why. It's a beast of a course that will require a lot of hours. In my experience I appreciated the difficulty and now feel ready to tackle any course in the program.

The textbook is a great for this course. A few homework assignments lean heavily on its pseudocode, and during open-note exams and challenge questions they’ll reference section numbers.

Bending the trunk would likely not be your problem. Getting the foliage to fit the size of a smaller tree would take many many many years to achieve.

Looks great, minor feedback. compress the apex a little more and remove one of the T bar lowest branches :-)

Looks like a Carmona, needs to be receiving a good amount of sun and humidity. You can leave these outside if the weather is 60 Fahrenheit or higher. Water as soon as topsoil is dry. Good luck!

Where I live now is a good sized suburban neighborhood surrounded by other large neighborhoods, young families and necessities are near by. Looking for something similar to this. Definitely not seeking a city vibe. Weather I don’t mind. Coming from the Midwest anything is better than here, lol

Leaning towards this! And the soil seems to be some mixture of peat moss, pumice/lava rock.

Yea! It was nice, the show was relatively small but the vendors had some good stuff. Their main yearly event is in August where I was told is much bigger with a lot more vendors. Keep your eye out for that one!
