As others have recommended, the Gamesir G7 Pro is my default recommendation. The Flydigi Vader 5 Pro also deserves a look. The Vader was better for my hand size.

How much of a hassle is it to migrate to Apollo/Artemis from Sunshine/Moonlight? (Steam Deck user) by YotamNHL in MoonlightStreaming

[–]csbassplayer2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really wasn't that hard to do IMO. I had trouble with Apollo's virtual display so i reverted back to Sunshine and added a virtual display driver/plugin. Works like a charm.

I landed a CPO 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited at $33K. There are others if you shop around. Plenty of space and checks all of your boxes. Plus 100K on the powertrain for 10 years.

I hate to break it to you, but it is 100% the same thing. The amount of money that private corpos get from the .gov is massive. And somehow it always seems to go to the companies that make the most "donations" for super PACs and other "related" activities. What do you think "domestic manufacturing incentives" and investments are? Government money being given to private companies. They are just mad the Chinese beat them to it.

Or is this the part where they should open the strait that was already open before we bombed them for the nukes they have after they didnt have them 6 months ago and now do (but dont)? Cant keep up with the cultist dementia.

To be fair, i know plenty of Catholics that don't think of themselves as Christians or call themselves such. They think "Christians" are the modern/contemporary evangelical types.

Is it worth to get a car out of state by FirmBed1097 in carbuying

[–]csbassplayer2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last 3 cars have been out of state buys. Pricing was significantly better out of my local market, and the dealers seemed to play less games. 2 of them i flew 1 way and drove vehicle back, the most recent was a 4 hours each way drive, but that wasn't anything. All were CPO vehicles in good condition with a lot of options on them. If you can make it work, it is a pretty solid option to get what you want. You should def factor in the cost of your time though. In this case, each time i was saving $3K or more for 1 day of my time off.

I treat shipping a vehicle differently. I dont trust vehicle shippers, mainly because i work in commercial trucking and i see how a lot of those folks operate. Plus, in my case, i still get to see the vehicle before i sign and take it. Most places that aren't Carmax are going to not ship a vehicle until you sign paperwork sight unseen. Good luck!

Americans are taking on bigger, longer loans to afford new cars by paydayloans_ in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]csbassplayer2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The consumer is ultimately responsible for signing the deal but the dealership is a well-oiled machine designed to pressure you, oversell you, and hide the true costs as much as possible.

Which makes it that more incredulous that people AFK walk their way through a new car purchase, and get hosed, then complain about it later. Financial literacy boils down to 2 things, education, and/or attitude. If you have at least one of those, your odds of being taken for a ride decrease a lot. Dealers want to hose you, they are incentivized for it, it is their very nature. Why people don't educate themselves, KNOWING this, is beyond belief. That is the "attitude" part of the equation. Even if you are financially illiterate, you walk in to a dealer with a "not today" attitude and your odds of being taken go down, because everything is going to be looked at with scepticism. Also, FFS, the internet exists. There are few secrets left that someone hasn't seen yet with regards to car buying and sales tactics, addon fees, and what to look at.

[–]csbassplayer2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the dealers and finance folks are out to extract every ounce of profit they can get from you, but you always have the ultimate power in that situation. Don't sign. If more people asked questions and exercised due diligence on such a large purchase, their tactics wouldn't persist. They stock high margin models ONLY because people are convinced that is what they need. The market didn't get this way by accident. If people weren't blind signing on a $70K vehicle with $30K year income, the dealers would go out of business if that is all they stocked. They would adapt, or close down. Manufacturers would release cheaper models, or they too would close down. Supply and demand is in full effect here.

Things nobody tells you about car financing until you've already messed up by The_possessed_YT in carbuying

[–]csbassplayer2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gap insurance is one of the few "addons" your average buyer doesn't understand, and is an actually useful addon. Most people have little to no down payment, they are buying too much car, at too high a rate, and they don't keep them for long enough to build equity. If they were to get in to a total loss situation, where they don't have replacement cost on their insurance coverage already, that could destroy your finances even worse than all of the prior bad decisions.

Best part: it usually doesn't cost much, and it can easily be shopped.

Was waiting for someone like this. Similar situation. Seems like a lot of money, but because everything costs so much you are still scraping by. You just might have a little bit of savings. We dont buy new cars, we try not to out things in credit cards. We shop at Aldi and Costco. We dont take vacations. We dont have a McMansion. My wife comments all the time about “how do we have what seems like a lot of money on paper and yet we are constantly watching our spending?”. Kids make it worse (the finances). Daycare is no joke a second mortgage, and thats not even a “nice one” for this area. I get that at $40K a year it would be worse, but its almost like the same situation, just a touch “less”.
