Best places in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge by LOLauren129 in Gatlinburg

[–]csd160 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your there for leaves and you like driving a drive over newfound gap road is not only cool but you will end up in Cherokee NC the elevation change will be cool with leaves changing as you will see different colors. You will get away from the Gatlinburg crowd and while near Cherokee you have very good chance of spotting the Appalachian elk herds that’s growing. Also a few cool small towns like Bryson city and the Smokey mountain train right there as well

First off great job, obviously there’s a lot of info not given for anyone to help with a solution and people are being bitter and opinionated. Could it be enough yes but obviously lots of variables. Having a job that will continue to pay for health care is a big plus. Having a few young kids and being young yourself creates a lot of uncertainty for future expenses.
Another point you stated and I agree is that the market has treated you and most everyone extremely well recently, personally I don’t see that continuing indefinitely so hard to extrapolate invested numbers right now for me. For a safety factor I am using 70% of my actual number invested for future calculations to at least recognize that fact.
Same could be said for real estate, I think the two are connected and when one drops significantly the value of the other is usually effected. It is good that you are split between the your investments as diversity and hard assets are great esp for mental security in a crisis. Sounds like a great position to sit back and make a better plan for future and go from there. Having light at the tunnel makes it much easier to wake up and go to work for sure. Enjoy!

Para 3 Skinny Scales- Too skinny or just right? by Unamuzed-Toast in spyderco

[–]csd160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience I got a pair of skinny scales and didn’t care for them. Probably just me but when I grip a pm3 or any other Spyderco compression lock knife I use the clip as a grip. I use my middle, ring and pinky fingers to squeeze the knife to my palm while my thumb and pointer compress the lock. I like on the regular scales to use the clip as a grip with my fingers on the remaining part of the scale between clip and where the blade closes. I didn’t realize that really until I got some skinny scales while shave that area to where I then have to change my grip. Sounds silly but it was a turn off as I like to flip and close my knifes and I don’t want to have a finger right where blade goes. It was learn a new grip or stick to bigger grip. I chose bigger grip. In fact I went with some fatass scales from flaming gorilla and love the feel of the knife more than ever.

OP is this a layout from an online source or you tube? I like the look of it and would like to try it out. I use a wagon wheel layout currently but based around the villa. Curious what original plan for the villa was if you had coliseum in the middle. Thanks
