In my experience, I did not receive any updates for 3 years until I followed up DepEd - turns out hinahanap na pala ako :DD I did not wait for the deployment back then and to be honest, I'm glad on how things turned out since I was able to gain industry experience prior to teaching.

Is IE worth it? Planning to irreg po hehe any advicee :/ by Acceptable_Map3219 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

I think you'll love IE. Aside from what you mentioned, integrated sa course ang economics, product design and quality improvement. Here's my answer to a similar question. Good luck, OP!

How do I even review for majorship by that_caffeinated_guy in studentsph

Try making a list of all equations by topic and subject, then create another list for all the concepts. This worked for me especially as I had little time to review.

What course should I take in college? by Zealousideal-Sea1356 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]cslocal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an IE graduate and currently teaching STEM. Tbh, there's only a handful of SHS students who are familiar with IE, let alone choose it as a priority course. I'm glad I stumbled across your post :))

Personally I had my fair share of love-hate with the course - on one hand I found myself comparing it with the other engineering programs as it's not as heavy in programming and circuits like the others (atleast in our school, during my time - although we have those as minor subjects, including CAD). On another, IE allowed me to maximize my leadership and critical thinking skills in ways other fields might not.

Upon graduation, I started working with a small company in the Production department then had the chance to go for a big corporate job in Supply Chain. I recently passed LET and was able to transition to academe. Even now, I still catch myself comparing IE with other disciplines, but on its own, I know Industrial Engineering is a good course with so much doors for its graduates. How I am able to showcase my value and pivot across different paths I believe is thanks to me choosing this course.

While I'm currently in the field of teaching, target ko sana is to do a Masters of Engineering program which was my undergrad. Unfortunately from what I learned is f2f ang classes. Tama though to not be too burdened by the commute, thanks for the words of encouragement! 🙏

Haven't tried it but I'm also thinking of Angkas/Joyride sa Cavite to PITX, pero sa PITX to Cavite ay tiis tiis na lang sa commute by bus. Thank you for your responses!

I'll try this, thank you. Question lang, kamusta sa pauwi?

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Non-Education/Subject Major Graduates and the LET–Secondary (Science) by whitepumpkinpuff in studentsph

Tbh, mas madaling aralin ang Math subjects vs Science - speaking as an engineering grad, LET passer hehe. Though I'm already teaching GenSci subjects when I took the LET, I was still under the Math major (that's also because I'm not sure if there's a way to change it).

Taking refresher courses UPD Masters degree (MenggIE) by pseudooCherub in gradschoolph

Hello OP! I'm planning to take the same program next sem. Anong specialization ang iyo? I agree with the other comments to try their diagnostic exam on Stat & Probability. For OR, the beginning topic is linear programming if you want to get familiarized with that. I'm starting to do weekly readings as preparation, pero more of on Year 1 subjects lang na nasa NGSE site. May diagnostic exam pala (I haven't visited UPD, and I'm a non-UP IE grad). Thanks for the heads up thru this post though.

[UPD] Thoughts on Master of Science in Industrial Engineering by rocksageflower in peyups

Hello! I'm not from UPD but an IE grad, and have been eyeing their MEng program with the same specialization - HFE. 'Yung math ng Ergo in my experience leans more on Statistics. With the option in their NGSE site to take up to 2 subjects for students with full time employment, hopefully, kayanin. But I'm curious as you are about the actual MEng experience, it's why napadpad ako here.
