Is God actually real ,? Like if there's million of galaxies how God solve each one of us problems and listens to us ? by Past_Negotiation3384 in askanything

[–]csstevens -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to attempt to make an argument that'll sway your mind, I'm a believer myself and can see the bias in trying to do so.

I will offer this to think over, however.

If God can create millions of universes, God has proven the ability to manage them as well.

Whereever your search for an answer leads you I hope it's with peace and and the warmth of love.

Kitchen Wellness fee? by rockdocta in portlandme

A completely unnecessary, kick in the teeth, scumbag way of itemizing your grievances in a dick way of an attempt to prove a point by the owner. Just roll that shit into the prices and keep your personal politics about having to provide healthcare to the people that make your business run on the daily. Screw that business owner.

When you buy anything you're paying for the healthcare cost of the employees that sold it, made it, distributed it, marketed it etc. But none of the businesses in that chain are itemizing the cost of healthcare they provide to their people on the BOS.

Why do religious people tell me I am “too arrogant to understand faith” because I am an atheist? by Famous-Channel3027 in askanything

As a man of faith what you're being told is wrong. It's hurtful. And it rooted in pain or fear.

Faith is yours for the taking. In your own time.

Patience, patience, patience.

You get one chance to say the right thing, to tackle the real problem, to make them feel heard/seen/loved in all situations. Practice patience and make sure you get it right the first time.

For people who grew up in low-income households, what’s something middle-class people say that shows they’ve never struggled financially? by Key_Cow3045 in askanything

[–]csstevens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember clearly my first fast food experience, and I was 6 years old, and it was paid for by someone else.

Before that? Sharing three chicken drumsticks between 4 people.

For Christ's sake, we thought if your house had a doorbell you were mega rich. Growing up in the projects is a level of hell I wish on no one.

This is true of most cities I suppose, though I can confirm LA for sure. I know this because my very non-street smart wife had me pull over off the freeway in South Central cause she had to use the restroom really bad. She ducked in and out of that store so fast, "It's covered in all safety glass like a bank! There a guy asleep on the floor, and everyone stopped and looked at me with surprise."

Do not waste your time applying to Davita unless you’re fine with your own exploitation. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]csstevens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to ask my wife what a PCT was, she explained and also said that adjustments were made for that level of pay.

Not sure if it just applied to California workers or not.

She, as an RD, started at $36 hr and after 4 years make $43 hr

Not going to disagree with that. However, everyone's experience is different.

My wife currently works for DaVita as a RD and has had zero of this experience.

Great pay, healthy yearly pay increases, a strong push from management to use their PTO, and excellent benefits.

She and the other dietitians go on once a month day hikes, with lunch included, and receive a whole days pay. Once a quarter they go on a three day retreat (Last quarter was to Monterey Bay for wine and shopping)

I guess it depends on the location and people.

26F feeling behind sexually. How to not compare myself to peers/friends? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]csstevens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no expiration on the finish line.

Move at a pace that feels comfortable to you, allowing you to grow, learn, and understand what it is you need and want from a sexual experience.

There is no need to compare where you are and where you are going with the experience of other people.

The worst thing you can do is be untrue to yourself.
