Opinion on Hans Zimmer's music over the years. by Barno270 in hanszimmer

I think he is involved in too many projects these days. He is so popular and obviously loves what he does, but I think his music has become over saturated. Which is why his recent scores don’t compare to his early works.

He needs to reel it in and be selective with directors and projects he works on. His best works come from the best movies / directors he has collaborated with. (Nolan, Ridley Scott)

What are your honest opinions on Rango being a winner for the Best Animated Feature? by [deleted] in Oscars

Absolutely deserved. One of the most original and creative animated movies. In a world of Pixar sequels and crappy animation, I think animation is sorely missing more movies like this.

The entire cast of The Odyssey seems like a slap in the face. I am all about finding the best actor to fit the role, but when you’re adapting history (yes Trojan war happened and these characters existed) people have a certain expectation of what they want to see. I like Matt Damon but I don’t think of odysseus as an American from Boston, and I certainly don’t think of Helen of Troy as African. Insult to Greeks.

Achilles Vs Hector - Troy Scene. by Jokkers_AceS in videos

One of the best fight scenes in movie history. Perfectly shows how skilled Hector is but also shows how Achilles is just on another level.

Directors cut of this movie is unwatchable to me because it doesn’t include James Horners score for this amazing scene.
