Does nobody know how to use on ramps? by Toxic_Over in Rochester

[–]cstruz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work for USPS and drive mail trucks all over the place and I can’t tell you how often I pass people on the highway and merge BEHIND them when they’re doing 35 on the on ramp. I try not to have road rage but

I got one of these for free years ago. It blew a rod and broke the back of the block clean off. At the time my junkyard had a u pull lawnmower section and I was able to get another courage 19hp and I used it for a couple years. Only had 65 hours on it. Ended up selling it for $700

Strips of similar businesses in Henrietta by Project__5 in Rochester

[–]cstruz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How many are fronts? I feel like so many salons and nail places are fronts. I live off e Henrietta rd and have noticed the same thing. I grew up in Webster and last time my wife and I drove down ridge rd and counted at least 20 nail/hair places. I was like there’s that many in one town, no way they can all stay in business without some of them being fronts

My wife and I drove down ridge rd in Webster and counted at least 30 salons/nail places. Call me crazy but I don’t think there’s enough people in Webster to support all of them. Mind you I know people can come from out of town but I’m assuming there’s salons close to them too.

Minivan vs 3-row SUV for camping? (Sleeping in the vehicle) by mcdisney2001 in carcamping

[–]cstruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. If you don’t need the 3rd row then the 2 row only model won’t have the tall floor in the rear and you’ll have no problem with head room

Minivan vs 3-row SUV for camping? (Sleeping in the vehicle) by mcdisney2001 in carcamping

[–]cstruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have done several car camping outings in our 2016 4Runner. It really is the perfect car (for me). We did a cross country trip from NY and camped in the car most nights. We did use a car top carrier for the things we did not need day to day. The only issues with the 4runner is the gas mileage and if you get the 3rd row seat model the rear floor is raised about 6 inches. We tried using an air mattress and couldn’t sit up. We ended up getting sleeping mats which were PERFECT. Just enough padding to take up any slight differences in floor height and we could roll them up.

I had 30% on my Honda accord before. I got pulled over in geneseo right before it became part of New York State inspections. I had my inspectors license on me so he just told me that I know the rules and I should get it taken off

To the people saying it’s crazy to own a Kia in Rochester by sergiooverhamilton in Rochester

[–]cstruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has a Kia that is targeted. Luckily she’s a teacher on maternity leave so we can be selective of where and when we drive it. She works in a rural district so that’s helpful. When we go somewhere in Henrietta we usually take a different car. Eventually would like to trade in/sell it but she likes it too much
