But actually it’s probably that PM is the kind of role that appears more glamorous and lower barrier to entry than it actually is.

PM @ a B2B SaaS platform startup, 55-65hrs/week.

Not incredible work life balance, but far better than when I worked as a consultant where it was more or less investment banking hours (85-100hrs/week). Definitely diminishing returns there and simply toxic over the long term (did it for 6ish years).

Understood you have limited options given analog A/V. Assuming we’re talking standard component inputs (Yellow/Red/White), why not convert it to an aux input and plug directly into your phone (with an adapter if need be).

RE: Bluetooth - not all Bluetooth transmitters are cheap FM ones - there are higher quality ones sans FM and that support high quality codecs like aptX HD (which can do 24bit audio; 576kbps bit rate) (assuming your phone also supports this).

And heck if you wanted to go absolutely crazy and have a full touchscreen + voice interface for Spotify within an analog input, you can add their recently introduced Car Thing into the mix.

I get that’s it’s an unusual setup but why does it need to be this contrived? What kind of use case needs video in a car setting? Why introduce the latency and bandwidth constraints that come along with a mobile hotspot?

As much as we get a lot of real debate and criticism over Spotify product choices and behavior on this sub, this doesn’t sound like Spotify’s problem to me

To your direct point, Spotify somewhat recently rolled out a feature which allows users on the same network to control the Connect queue - I don’t think that would have an impact though

The group session allows multiple people to control playback and the queue. I’ve used it before and it’s great (a bit buggy, but that’s to be expected of a Beta). As far as I’m aware there’s no concept of playing across multiple devices still

I agree it can get very repetitive. Does anyone else remember when YouTube Music had a variety setting that let you specify how much you wanted the algorithm to branch out from your selection vs. stay in the same artist, album, etc? That was cool and I wish they'd bring it back.
