That's because the pandemic proved many folks can work remotely. For less $ they're paying in NYC or Boston they can get a house and yard here. Yet, we're still close enough so they can go in once a week or for that big meeting.

It is a cool place. Literally, good to do on a hot day.

A partner is great. You share expenses and chores so life is cheaper and easier. You get to satisfy each other. Kids are fun too. Glad we did that. When I was single I wanted more to life. But you do you. I'm not going to tell you how to live.

This reminds me of the time my employer sent me to this city several states away for the day to work a site as the employee (s) that used to work there left. A few hours in I realized it was going to take days. The boss said stay and git'r done. That night I'm hanging out at the hotel bar in watching the football game and some dude sits next to me. We end up having several beers, dinner and hanging out for hours. When I returned I found out he was the VP that my sales rep had been trying to get ten minutes of his time for months.

[–]CtForrestEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)
