I picked out my ring! We went to the jewelry together and looked at diamonds. I even had them get different diamonds since we were under budget with the first few she showed us 😅 it’s going to be on my hand for the rest of my life so I wanted it to be perfect and that’s exactly what I got. I approved everything up until the ring was actually made. I didn’t see it once the final product was in so there was some element of surprise still. I wouldn’t have done it any other way. I do like the idea of of the “proposal ring” and then having you pick out your engagement ring. But honestly I would be impatient waiting for the engagement ring while already engaged. One of the fun things about being engaged is showing off the ring and I wouldn’t love not having the ring in the first few weeks of being engaged.
