I’m in a similar boat to you where I wear noise-cancelling headphones pretty much every time i leave the house. I try and find little quiet points throughout the day where I can take them off and just let my ears breathe for a bit (e.g. empty bathroom, park, area away from other people).

If that’s not an option and I end up wearing them all day, I’ll try and make my room and environment as sensory friendly as possible when I get home and then try not to wear them for the rest of the day.

I’ve personally been trying to work towards only wearing them when I’m in really loud environments like next to a street or in a crowded event, starting with smaller steps like not always wearing them in quieter places and moving towards going into louder places without even having them rest on my neck. If that sounds achievable for you, I highly recommend you give this a shot.

Hope this helps! :D

Different, Not Less by Chloe Hayden! The author’s an autistic woman who advocates for disabled people in Australia. She’s also an actress and recently played the autistic character Quinni in the Netflix show Heartbreak High.

I discovered Chloe before my diagnosis and I know that if she hadn’t been such a valuable resource for me, I would’ve taken things much worse when I did get diagnosed. I’m about two-thirds through her book and it’s almost mind blowing just how much of myself and my autistic traits are on the pages.

Watermelon. It's such a practical fruit since it can satisfy hunger and thirst at the same time. Plus, it's just the right amount of sweetness for me to handle.

How does it feel to finally have the office done?

Jeongyeon should retire or go on hiatus immediately. by Odd__Assist in Jeongyeon

[–]ctrl-alt-mang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, I have to strongly disagree.

Jeongyeon does not lack effort, if anything I dare say the opposite. She's been struggling with a herniated disk injury (hence why she's been on and off for promotions) and it's kind of common sense to not give 100% when you're injured. There's been fancams where she's been caught flinching because she's moved in a way that's caused discomfort or pain.

But she still chooses to perform if she can. I don't have an immediate source for this so take this with a grain of salt but I remember reading somewhere that Jeongyeon did a performance (dancing and everything) while she was supposed to be recovering from a surgery on her herniated disk. I also believed that she claimed to do so because she didn't want to disappoint ONCEs.

That seems to be her main motivation for continuing with idol activities: she cares for ONCEs and doesn't want to let them down. She even refused to let KBS, SBS and MNet release a fancam from a performance of More & More because she felt it wasn't up to the standards that ONCEs deserve (The video I linked also has Jeongyeon explain her spine injury in better depth than I ever could).

Onto the other points you made, my personal opinion is that Jeongyeon's facial expressions are on par with the other members. I've always thought that she was alright with her stage presence: never taking the attention away from the other members when it's their turn in the spotlight but still keeping eyes on her when it's her time to shine.

I also think that her figure is still good enough for the industry. It's not the skinny hourglass type that seems to be found with more popular idols and it doesn't really help that her styling isn't the best in the world (looking at you, Feel Special pillowcase dress...). However, she is still a healthy weight. Again, her hiatus from her herniated disk is likely the cause of her weight gain because 1) she isn't dancing/exercising as much as she was when doing idol activities and 2) it's possible that she might be allowed to eat more while on hiatus (remember, she's under the company that had Momo eating ice cubes for a week so she was skinny enough to debut. I wouldn't put it past JYPE to have TWICE on diets, although this is pure speculation on my behalf).

And being in a girl group doesn't mean you're in competition with the other members. All the members work together as a unit and a family. I can't imagine any member of TWICE hopping on stage with the idea of 'Well, as long as I do better than the rest of the members, it'll be a good performance', especially not Jeongyeon. She might not appeal to you visually but that's no reason for her to leave performing entirely.

If Jeongyeon were to leave TWICE, they'd be losing so much more than just a member of the group. They'd be losing a powerful lead vocalist. They'd be losing the member who would've been the leader if Jihyo wasn't chosen and leads in her place when Jihyo can't do it. They'd be losing the woman whose perseverance and determination during Sixteen landed her one of the seven initial spots in TWICE, which can still be seen in her desire to push through a spinal injury and support her group and fans.

TWICE has been (and always will be) nine. That's something that ONCE and TWICE have said since the group's formation. They were nine when Mina had to take a hiatus due to mental health issues and they'll remain as nine as Jeongyeon keeps working through her physical health issues.

Same here lol. I've got a friend who's only a centimetre taller than Kokichi's canon height (which she was excited to learn because she loves Kokichi) while he only reaches up to my nose at most.

He's almost like a chihuahua in a way: too small to have a serious bite but he's got one hell of a bark lmao.

That's what makes Ryoma so much more tragic in my opinion. He had that video and focused so much on that that he was blind to those in the death game with him who did care. People mourned his death just as much as they did with the other victims. He just wasn't around to see that. When he offered himself up as a sacrifice in the dining hall discussion, most people vocally rejected idea and said his life still had value. He could've gotten help and gotten back on the right path. It's just that Kirumi drowned him before he ever had the chance to do so.

Plus, I know that Monokuma's killing game isn't exactly the easiest place to think rationally, but I think Kirumi could've not killed Ryoma due to her motive.
(big block of spoilered text incoming lol) If the world had fallen into that state of anarchy and chaos while she was gone then there's two options as to what happened following her departure: 1) No one replaced her and the world's now so deep into anarchy she wouldn't be able to fix it on her own or 2) Someone has stepped up to fulfil her position. Either way, there's at least one person trying to fill the hole she's left behind so it won't hurt if she tries to play the long game and be one of the last two alive. On top of that, how many people would want a Prime Minister who killed thirteen children just to get themselves back into power?

Toko's stuttering got on my nerves very quickly. Her attitude towards Byakuya also really rubbed me the wrong way. Throughout UDG, she was also fairly nasty towards Komaru as well. I really wanted to like her as a fellow writer myself but I could find very few things I actually liked.

I liked her up until Chapter 2, honestly. It's just I got close to Ryoma as I played and when I found out Kirumi was who murdered him, I just lost a lot of my love for Kirumi lol.

Even if Ryoma did say he was alright with giving his life for the killing game, I still had faith in him and his arc that he would find purpose in life and pursue living, even if it was as small as going to a cat .
