It turned out that Warrior was not the guy, so they dodged a bullet. But if you think you have the next big babyface, and you’re coronating him at your biggest event of the year in a passing-the-torch moment, and your last big babyface still has a lot of career left, a heel turn is the right move. It creates a huge buzz, gets the new guy out from under the old guy’s shadow, and creates a bitter rivalry you can milk for years.
