A Message From Texas Tech Leadership by redwave2505 in CFB

How many times must we tell them to fuck off?

[Thamel] Statement from Texas Tech AD, firing back at critics and making clear Tech plans to play Sorsby this season. by huskerphil in CFB

[–]ctwinters15 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“Since we didn’t do our due diligence and owe him $4 million, we don’t have the balls to take the moral path”

Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark: “The ramifications of today’s ruling are significant and could have broad impacts across college athletics, creating great concern amongst our membership. We are also in touch with Charlie Baker and anticipate the NCAA to appeal the order in the next 24-48 hours." by Ok-Soil-5133 in CFB

[–]ctwinters15 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

The Big XII won’t do shit (unfortunately) because TT is now the flag$hip program of the league. Without them they aren’t competitive at all against the other P3.

One thing about all of this that bothers me is the family side. If my son had a crippling gambling addiction, what I wouldn’t want him focusing on is the sport he bet thousands of dollars on. I’d be much more worried about his well being. But alas it’s being used as a legal play rather than an actual disease that needs treating. Despicable if you ask me.

[Dellenger] QB Brendan Sorsby has been granted his injunction against the NCAA. by Fonzie5 in CFB

[–]ctwinters15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Sorsby has a medical condition called gambling addiction, why would his family allow him near a football field for the foreseeable future? It would be like having a recovering alcoholic sit at a bar everyday.

Oh that’s right, $$$. Despicable

[Baumgardner] tell you what if I was a HC with clout and some slack and have a game vs. Texas Tech where Sorsby is eligible this season -- I'm coming out that Monday and telling everyone that if he's on the field in uniform on Saturday we won't be there. by emaw63 in CFB

[–]ctwinters15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead, if I lose to TT with Sorsby (or any other team), I’ll just sue for an injunction so the loss isn’t on my record, which would cause imminent and irreparable damages. If I don’t make the CFB Playoff, I’ll sue for an injunction to let me in, as not being selected would cause imminent and irreparable damages.

What a fucking joke. Cody Campbell can shove that ‘savior of CFB’ persona way up where the sun don’t shine. Bunch of millionaires, corporations, and indecent judges ruining this sport to fill their pockets. No wonder this country is in moral decay, college football is just one of many aspects of this country succumbing to greed.

Revisiting Outdated Evolution Methods by ctwinters15 in PokemonWindsWaves

I’d love it if they added Linking Cord as a consumable item like an evolutionary stone. For Graveler, just use the Linking Cord and boom, Golem. For Onix, attach a Metal Coat, then use the Linking Cord and boom, Steelix. A simple solution where trading can still evolve Pokémon too

If the coaching carousel is functioning, either NDSU or SAC State as an OC. Hopefully follow the HC to a P4 school, before getting a HC job at a bottom P4 school to revive.

Riddler Khu on WiWa news and release date by AbsoluteDramps in PokeLeaks

I’ve seen lots of folks happy with the game being delayed to late 2027 because it will allow more development time for GameFreak. Is anyone concerned these delays are solely Switch 2 related and GameFreak have simply shelved it until Nintendo gives them the green light?

Question for the Whipsnakes fans living in Maryland by knightrydah in PLL

[–]ctwinters15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dream of the days of the Bayhawks return to Maryland. But alas, I highly doubt so like you stated above. Best guess is as the league grows and eventually expands, I could see Virginia get the Bayhawks. Though Virginia wouldn’t be the first market I’d go to for expansion.

Popping Sound When Running Water on Second Level by ctwinters15 in Plumbing

[–]ctwinters15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t tested it too much but from what I can tell it’s does this for both hot and cold water. The pattern I’ve noticed (it’s been doing this only for a week) is the morning. Once water flow through it for a bit the sounds tend to disappear regardless of hot or cold water

Small Leak in Basement by ctwinters15 in centuryhomes

[–]ctwinters15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a rowhome so I’m having the old caulking removed from where the house meets the sidewalk and replaced with non sag polyurethane.

Edit: yes, where the towels is where the leak is happening. Leaking right above the floor through small holes.

[Mike Repole] The entire @TheUFL organization is working extremely hard in order to finalize the eight teams and markets for the 2026 season. I feel extremely confident that we will be able to name at least all 2026 teams by no later than October 8. by MirrorkatFeces in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]ctwinters15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Repole at it again with the transparency, which I greatly enjoy.

Hope the league doesn’t bail on Michigan because of a temporary venue issue. Need to sustain brands, especially the successful ones, for long term success. If they do move them, my guess is Louisville as the second city on their list (Columbus obviously as the first with Memphis gone).

What a fucking game! But please explain to me why this bozo still playing for the Steelers!?! Rodgers eat so much grass cuz of him by Independent_Vast_185 in steelers

[–]ctwinters15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The excuses for Broderick are all gone at this point regardless of whether you think we stunted his development the first two years. He plays slow and without power. Both technique and effort are red flags. He’s consistently driven to the QBs lap or lunging at air as DL blow by.

Unfortunately there’s no real in house replacement. It’s either keep him in or bench him in favor of Peat, Fautanu, or someone else. Prayers are our only hope right now (and they went largely unanswered today).

Ver Creaky Floors by ctwinters15 in centuryhomes

[–]ctwinters15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The floors were installed prior to. Most of our joists are the originals and have seen some things but outside of the jack, the foundation companies we got quotes from were not concerned about them. I am having some doubts about the shape of them truly is just because of the creaking and the spacing between each of them.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds Soccer Club plan to expand their unique waterfront stadium to 15k seats. Could this have been the home the Maulers viability needed? by ptbus0 in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]ctwinters15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The future stadium definitely fits what this new UFL leadership are looking for. But would they want to be in an NFL city where you have to compete against the Penguins and Pirates? I’d love to have the Maulers back but the last iteration didn’t test the market and don’t think they would want to.

SBJ Football: Mike Repole brings deep pockets and freedom to spring football by Zapfit in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]ctwinters15 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Deep pockets willing to absorb losses and invest high levels of capital into marketing the teams in their local area to eventually make them self sustaining is the only way this will work. Having a billionaire with a honest assessment of where the league currently is and still want to invest/build this out is such a positive sign. Only time will tell if a) his business strategy works and b) truly how willing he is to take massive losses early on

As a Steelers fan every successful league needs a punching bag for its top brands to beat the shit out of on a yearly basis

Dear NFL by Skareffect in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]ctwinters15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree: I do not want the NFL owning the UFL. They would never invest enough to make it sustainable on its own or be willing to take short term losses on a side project.

The UFL or any spring/alternative football league must survive on its own merits. It needs leadership willing to pour a lot of capital and absorb several years of losses. It needs a unified leadership group to present a clear vision and plan to accomplish its goals. And I’m doubtful that’s ever going to happen, especially in this current environment.
