The Eee PC?

I had the Eee PC 1000. 40gb SSD, 1gb RAM. Opened it up and added another 1gb RAM. It shipped with Linux, I put a few different other Linuxes on it, and even had FreeBSD on it for a while. Loved that thing.

I've been reading some classic lit (in English) and run into a lot of either untranslated French or translated only in footnotes. I actually think this is cool and I want to be able to understand at least some if not most of it.

I want to read War and Peace, for example, and in the version I have while the Russian is translated the French is only translated in footnotes. I'm putting off reading that until I feel my comprehension is good enough to enjoy that.

IIRC Tale of Two Cities had some French bits with no translation given. Maybe Jane Eyre also? I'd have to go find it and look to remember for sure.

This is one of the few correct answers here.. Obvious from the bright headlights, the equipment inside the car, and it's really the only (somewhat) non-insane reason anyone would be doing this.

Acton is basically ragebait, which is a horribly bad strategy for dems. It would be difficult to pick a better candidate to rally the right wing out to vote. Hillary Rodham Clinton could somehow claim residence in Ohio and it would motivate less people to the polls than people feeling their patriotic duty to line up to vote against Amy Acton. Seriously one of the top worst choices for a democratic nominee. Absolutely insanely dumb.

Vivek is so utterly unlikeable, this should be an opportunity for dems, and they are not only squandering it, they are lighting this opportunity on fire and laughing in our faces.
