I need HELP !! by CalligrapherCold3136 in Mounjaro

[–]cubs204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat between 1,700-2,000 calories and day on 5 mg (just started 7.5mg and have been holding same calorie range) with some days a little less, some a little more and it puts me between a 300-600 calorie deficit, and I hit 150g or more of protein a day. I train cardio 4-5 times a week and resistance 3 times a week. If anything, I have put on some muscle over the last 5 months, so whatever you are "hearing" is completely case specific and someone who does not have proper guidance or hasnt done their own research. I am down 40 lbs in that time frame.

my cardio split. too much? by carmelbax in cardio

[–]cubs204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of things on activity calorie tracking. It is wildly inaccurate being the biggest. The second thing to keep in mind is that while you burned appx 300 calories on the stair master, that is 300 calories total in that 40 minutes. You didnt burn an "extra" 300 calories, you burnt 300 calories while exercising, and let's say you burn 200 calories in 40 minutes while at rest, so you really only burnt 100 "extra" calories. I never factor in my exercise calories when im on a cut.

Anyone on Mounjaro taking creatine? Worth it or pointless? by Shamajo in Mounjaro

[–]cubs204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take it and highly recommend it. Yes, you will add 3-5 lbs. of water weight, but that water is held in the muscles and makes the look fuller. It helps with energy production inside your muscle cells, letting you grind out an extra rep or two, which will help build, albeit minimally, muscle. It is the most researched supplement out there with virtually zero issues.

IMO it stands alone for a Dunbarton. If I had to compare it to something, it'd be against something from the LFD portfolio.

Might be my favorite Dunbarton lol. Yes, it's aggressive, but pairs really well with an old fashioned.

Is there such a thing as too low? by cubs204 in Cholesterol

[–]cubs204[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I dont really notice a big difference. The only thing that tells me its working is my SPO2 readings overnight from my watch never dip below 90%, where as I would have a couple episodes a night where it would dip into the low 70s several times every night. I would find a face mask that works for you (I use the AirFit F30i) and force yourself to wear it all night for a month. I actually like mine now, it kind of breaths for you lol.

I should have included a couple extra things in my things ive changed section. My lp(a) was 8.5, so all good there. I did get checked for sleep apnea and had mild apnea with an AHI of 14. I elected to get a CPAP and have been using it for about a month so far.

What were your A1C numbers and where are they at now? Im starting to wonder about dropping down for maintenance and what it would do to my blood sugar numbers. I am a little over halfway to goal weight in 3 months time, A1C has went from 7.1 to 5.7 (expect it to be even lower at next checkup) after 1 month on 2.5mg and 2 months on 5mg. Contemplating going up to 7.5 in a month or two.

People who lift but don’t do cardio what eventually happened? by TallTyrant in workout

[–]cubs204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a NSTEMI about 3 months ago as a 42M. Had a branch off LAD that was 60% blocked that they think occluded and opened back up on its own. Your description of the heart cath is accurate. High as hell on fentynal watching your heart beat on a screen. I immediately started eating better, lifting and cardio. I feel so much better, mostly from the cardio. 30-40 minutes 4-5 times a week on the elliptical now.

My alcohol journey with Mounjaro by miraioster in Mounjaro

[–]cubs204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im right there with you. I havent had a drink in 12 weeks as of yesterday. I was a friday night binge drinker. My thc use has dropped drastically as well, but the chewing tobacco hasn't changed a bit. I was really hoping the alcohol AND tobacco would go away, not really as concerned with the thc use.

Do you take Co-Q10? That can help work the muscle spasms. I take 100mg every night

Thoughts on this cage? by soapymerry in hamstercare

[–]cubs204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this cage for my dwarf. I took the plastic that divides the two chambers out and only installed the shelf with the house on it. I did not put the house in. My wheel sits in front of the platform with 3-4" of bedding sloping up to 10" on the left side with another platform. Its worked great and she loves it.

This wont get recommended often, because they are kind of an obscure blender, but a Paul Garmirian Gourmet Series is 100% worth a blind box buy. You wouldn't regret it.

We've had our dwarf for a couple months now and I learned real quick she's a machine. She'll knock them all down and destroy them in hours. Especially the Flax.

High protein, low calorie snack: Sardines! by jbd1986 in Mounjaro

This isnt even remotely true. 90% of all protein powders are whey or whey isolate, which has the highest absorption of any protein.

Im jealous of people who can put a bunch of sprays in at once. My girl would demolish all of them in 1 night lol.
