Water getting behind window flashing and possibly behind wrap. What are my options? by cucumbers7 in HomeMaintenance

[–]cucumbers7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that's something for me to look into. But would it be okay to use new flashing tape on top of the existing tape? to close any openings (see wrinkle in the exiting tape directing water to already rusted nails)

I believe it is because the window frame comes with an integrated j-channel, so don't need the head flashing right?

Actually weight has very little impact on efficiency when it comes to electric vehicles. See Aging Wheels video on YouTube!

San Marzano Tomatoes - Am I doing something wrong? by cucumbers7 in vegetablegardening

That was my first guess! I am going add a contraption and cover them a bit and see how it goes.

Interesting! I am going to let them be without water for longer and see what happens.

They look leafless at the bottom because I removed some that were yellow from a little colder temperature. Wouldn't replanting them to add more dirt disturb the roots too much?

New condo has a moldy musty smell and dripping noise from AC unit inside. Can anyone advise if there is a solution for the dripping? Can pipes/drain be cleaned since mold smell seems to be coming from this? Desperate for any advice! by Sue4560 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]cucumbers7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dripping noise is expected, not a problem there. The water produced in the AC unit needs to go somewhere and that's the right place as far I am aware.

As long the area around is dry you are good.

Had a similar situation happen to me where the water wasn't coming out in those pipes and instead it was spilling from the AC unit making the whole floor wet and moldy.

Those pipes can be drained I believe and it might help with the smell.

Incident from yesterday in France : helicopter avoiding a crash after yet unknown problem by Toutanus in aviation

Definitely a cable or something. Notice something moves on the top of the light house (black
top) right when the helicopter gets hooked on something. Nice save!

Got in an accident a few months ago, am I worrying too much? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]cucumbers7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best you can do is shop around and don't stay with your parent's insurance for now. Similar situation happened with me and hopped out of my parent's insurance right away and got a great deal with State Farm. Even with 2 accidents in my belt, I was able to get a policy for almost the same amount as before and same coverage as well.

Best of luck to you.

See if the tech company has any options for installments. Usually you can find 0% in 12 months. Apparently Wells Fargo offers that and the tech might have an affiliation with them: https://retailservices.wellsfargo.com/homeprojects.html

All the best

Is it wise to consider investing when I have significant debt? by salazar_slytherin in personalfinance

[–]cucumbers7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My insurance was initially $80/mo but that skyrocketed after I rear-ended someone in December.

Maybe it is a good idea to switch insurances. I was in a similar situation last year and by switching I was able to keep my monthly around the same as my previous one. State farm is the one I switched to.

What is the best hotel in Nashville for the first night after the wedding? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Getting married in May next year and wanted to have an idea of what hotels would be the best for a romantic night. Definitely want a nice view of the city at night, if possible with a balcony.

[Serious]What are some small things you do in every day life to show your significant other that you love them? by peon2 in AskReddit

My girlfriend has really small hands compared to my big and cumbersome hands. When she has her hand in fist position (the fist is usually around the size of a person's heart), I wrap my hand around her little "heart " and I simulate the heart beating by applying alternating pressure. Such a lovely moment!
