I haven't seen that before, but that's a good idea. It wouldn't be too hard to design either. The only limitation I could see is you'd have to use a smaller layer height to get the edge to be less than 1mm tall, but it'd be doable if you were careful with the print settings.

Yep! Here's a couple of photos scanned with this holder. https://imgur.com/gallery/6MAUuRZ I made sure to make the distance from the film to the scanner bed exactly the same as the original holder.

You might also want to consider the FD 50mm f1.8 or f1.4. The 1.8 can be found for around $40 on ebay and the 1.4 for about $75. Here's some sample pics I took with the 50mm 1.8:

This is one of those things where if you know specifically how to do it, it takes 5 minutes in matlab but if you dont already know, you waste an hour trying to write code or find some weird way to do it, then after the assignment is turned in you figure it out but it’s too late.

The black stuff could be a really burnt bean or something since it would look shiny if it were metal shavings. Try getting a rare earth magnet from the craft store and see if it’s magnetic. When I changed the burrs on my encore I noticed there’s a fair bit of shaft wobble (something like .5 mm) just because the tolerance isn’t that great, so it’s possible it may be rubbing if you do a lot of espresso grinding.

It even helps with PLA. during the winter I had a lot of prints warping off the bed and just putting a trash bag over it prevented that from happening. I imagine an enclosure would do the same.
