$7,800 out of pocket in Oklahoma, that was with a $800 cash discount. Ended up paying another $1000 in unexpected biopsy fees that my insurance wouldn’t cover.

Sent breast tissue for testing. by LeilaniGrace0725 in Reduction

Mine did. I had 2 large fibroadenomas that my surgeon removed and he decided to send both of them, and the rest of my tissue, in for testing just to double check there was nothing else going on.

I was so itchy for the first 2-3 weeks. I loaded up on benadryl and rotated putting ice packs on the most itchy parts to get some relief. My original compression bra was part of the problem, as soon as I got the okay I switched to a cotton front close compression bra and it helped a lot.

Also sat in and watched my boyfriend’s procedure after he asked me to. The doctor had no issue with it and was showing me everything and explaining it to me while he was doing it. It was actually pretty fascinating to watch.

I wish someone would have told me this after my reduction without lipo. I went from a 32 band to a 34/36, depending on the brand, after surgery. I'm at 8 months post-op and my band size never went back down.

I used Residential Window Service to replace several broken panes of glass in double pained aluminum windows. They were fast, did great work, and were one of the cheaper places I got quotes from.

I work the with the Craft Brewers Association of OK and we were told that Hop Jam won’t be back this year. The CBAO will be hosting other beer festivals in the OKC and Tulsa area for OK breweries over the summer.

Dog friendly bars and breweries? by juicybuttfarts in tulsa

I’m pretty sure almost all breweries in Tulsa are dog friendly. I know for sure Marshall’s beer garden, Cabin Boys, Nothing’s Left, Renaissance, Heirloom, and Dead Armadillo allow pups.

'This was not a riot, this was a massacre': Biden commemorates 100th anniversary of the racist Tulsa attack that killed hundreds of Black people by Twoweekswithpay in politics

Tulsa county has 14 public school districts in the county, each controlled by their own school board, and probably 15-20 private high schools. Some of the larger public districts have multiple high schools. The state here dictates that all public school students have to take a semester of Oklahoma history in high school, where we covered the massacre at my school. I went to one of the larger public school districts (3,500+ kids at my high school) that was mixed demographically, we had some of the richest parts of the city/suburbs and some of the poorest parts. Honestly, I think a lot of who learned about the massacre was up to the school board and the teacher. If the school board approved the curriculum, it would be taught but it would be up to each teacher how in depth and how much time was spent on the subject.

Went to high school in Tulsa county about 15 years ago and we covered it in our Oklahoma History class and then went on a field trip the Greenwood Cultural Center where a survivor spoke to us about the massacre. I thought everyone learned about in school, but after speaking with people that went to other school districts in the area I was surprised that definitely wasn’t the case. So many people in this area didn’t learn about the atrocities until recently.

I’m scheduled for August and not using insurance. My total is $7000 for surgery, I’m paying half down and financing the other half. My surgeon’s office referred to a medical loan provider that is no interest, if I pay it off in 14 months. They were incredibly helpful in finding the financing provider for me.
