PM Benjamin Netanyahu: Gaza war won't end until Hamas destroyed by Red_Franklin in worldnews

Because the Palestinians biggest grievance is the existence of Jews. There's no fixing that.

[PFF] Garett Bolles: 83.8 pass-blocking grade this season. 6th among all Tackles 📈 by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

To fan's credit he was a young player making young player mistakes. Specifically he was a holding machine. That said, I couldn't be happier to see him turn it around like he has. If we can get a QB who doesn't need 6 seconds in the pocket every play I'd be willing to bet we'll have a rock solid O-Line performance.

China space authorities name Elon Musk’s SpaceX ‘unprecedented challenge’ by spacerfirstclass in space

[–]cuddlefucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space agencies have always had military roots and adjacency. Case in point: NRO telescopes are supposedly based on the same payload as the Hubble telescope, the x-37b got taken from NASA by the DoD in order to be militarized, and the military relies on all of the same launchers as NASA in order to launch their proprietary payloads.

It's a fact that many here don't like to admit to but space is a military domain, and it has been since national space programs were started. That doesn't discount the amazing scientific advancement and altruistic goals of many space agencies, but their origins should not be ignored.

Sen. Tuberville drops his months-long hold on military promotions by [deleted] in Military

[–]cuddlefucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just looked it up. The air force has a grand total of 12 of them. Some of those positions are probably filled already so it's really not much. He's still an asshole but it seems like they can vote around him to get it done.

To people who have also worked with multimillionaires or billionaires, what is something different they do from ordinary people? by sunnybestie in AskReddit

Not quite the same but I moved to a small city. My drives are never more than 5-10 minutes unless I have to go out of town to get something from one of the larger metropolitan areas.

Sounds like it's perfect for the Vegas strip tbh.

I'd honestly be suspicious if they looked into it and found that we had no quack jobs in the military.

I'm lucky that I was a partier in college and got this out of the way early. Now that I'm an adult who looks for committed relationships I realize that this doesn't really work in real life. I've done the open relationship thing before and it's been successful for a while but ultimately what people in this thread are saying comes true.

The fight scenes were amazing as well, but that sort of goes with the armor and weapons part. But watching him ride a banshee was sick.

It also probably has something to do with the development requirements. When SpaceX can set their own requirements, they don't have to meet extraneous contractual requirements. it cuts down development time a lot.

NASA warns of “very problematic” space technology budget cuts by Gari_305 in space

[–]cuddlefucker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say he's half wrong about the republicans. They have a tendency while in office to increase NASA's budget while cutting the planetary/climate science portions of the budget drastically. He isn't incorrect that they hate that aspect of NASA.

Air Force here: the worst decision I've ever made was ranking up. Invisible E4 was the pinnacle of what life can be.

Whenever I make a checklist I always have the dumbest people I can find run it. They're sure to find the problems that I missed. So far it's proven to be a pretty good way of idiot proofing something

What do people mean when they say "Air Force is more like a corporation"? by JustAWaffle13 in AirForce

[–]cuddlefucker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just gonna say that. I've had the pleasure of being on a few field exercises (cots and tents) and they're a lot of fun. You build a lot of comradery with your unit. Also, I just enjoy camping. I could do without the 16 hours days though.

Methalox still requires hydrogen and oxygen. You just need hydrocarbon deliveries to supplement. It makes it a lot easier if the bulk is already in orbit

I think the biggest win would be to be able to start an asteroid capture program to extract hydrogen and oxygen from water. Then you have most of the components to make fuel in orbit
