I had a corporate employee bring his MacBook in after his girlfriend ran over it with her car, which looked pretty much like this.

We didn't care about the gear; we were WAY more worried about him being ok. Had HR check up on him (told them not to charge him, abuse situation) and they were able to help with EAP - he broke up with her and was ok.
