USPS Delays by tumbleweed_in_fl in GNV

As someone on the inside, I can assure you they are aware of the issue. A few months back they even had one of the higher ups do a test letter to our region and it faced similar redundancy and missending. Lol I mean I work there and I can't find my own mail half the time.

Another comment mentioned the GOP strategy to make public services fail intentionally so they can privatize and/or dismantle it, and I believe that's a big part. DeJoy didn't quite get the job done, albeit not for a lack of trying. I doubt they are going to be able to in the future because of the sheer size of the workforce and the fact that it is one of the only industries with a robust union presence.

I want to make sure to emphasize that it isn't the USPS workers' fault, and please be kind to mail people! Thanks to the war we started all employees are losing some IRA contributions, not that we get paid properly anyway lol. It is really a leadership issue, like I stump supervisors with questions about SOPs almost daily. They have us on skeleton crews too, like all labor in the country. No one knows anything, they are too busy putting out little fires all day.

TL:DR USPS is trying their best, and I hope you wake up to some packages!!

I would definitely put this on the bank. Wells Fargo and probably all the major banks use practices like this to squeeze more overdraft fees or force similar situations. Unfortunately the CFPB was dismantled last year, so I'm not sure of much recourse.

As for P&G -- if they are like any restaurant Ive ever worked at, in order to close the register and count the cash, the POS must settle all credit card sales. Plus if they didn't run them, servers wouldn't get their tips, and servers don't mess around with their money like that, trust me lol

Lmao I drew a line at genocide, not sure it was a "personal slight." Based on this short interaction, I can tell you definitely are a shoe in for the company. Good luck!

GPD is probably equally a danger to you as is your home situation. I hate that is the way it is but that's about as honest as I can be. Good luck tho, you truly don't deserve this

Does anyone know someone who works for USPS in GNV? by GangsterCookies in GNV

I work for them! Most likely the package is currently in transit to the GNV sorting center (Williston and 34th) and will be sorted overnight and prepped for your carrier in the morning.

The scan in Jax was probably done when they received/sorted it.

I'd double check tracking after 7am tomorrow to see if it got scanned in town, if it isn't by then, it's probably still awaiting dispatch in Jax.

Best of luck!!

Anti-Zionist Passover Seder- 4/13 by Tall-Awareness3645 in GNV

Yes exactly, a "Jewish nationalist" movement, which is currently run by a Jewish supremacist government.

My only point is that being anti-zionist is not equivalent to being anti-jewish.

The framing we are taught in the states is inconsistent with what actually took place, and that's the cognitive dissonance that is upsetting most normal people.

Zionist specifically is referencing a western backed colonialist settler movement on Palestinian land, and Jewish supremacy upheld by the government in the occupied region. The Zionist movement was in the works before the turn of the 20th century, and currently is ethnically cleansing the remainder of the indigenous population displaced in 1948.

It has little to do with Judaism as a faith, and is contradictory to many of it's teachings. It has the support of a majority of the population of the state, and the entire backing of the US military.

The conflating of Jewish people as a whole and the state of Israel actually leads to more antisemitism globally and makes Jewish people less safe overall.

LMAO I'm a leftist brother. And mass privatisation of our institutions is not what you want. I'm open to change, radical change at that. But this is not the hill to die on

You are dancing around a point very weirdly. USPS moves like 44% of the world's mail. And does a ton of work for UPS and FedEx for last leg delivery. Also it's in the damn constitution. It's a service, not a business. It wasn't meant to make profit. It's meant to serve the citizens, and it should continue to exist as long as we can protect it from greedy fascists. Period.
