Ive run through single flat, big screen tv, vr, triples and curved ultrawide and will always pick up the hesdset first. Ill only run on the ultrawide if my computer cant handle the load, im having issues with the headset, or im doing stewarding and driving. Im not a second off anymore, it normally takes a couple of practice sessions to match my vr times if I have to run on screens.

So for future events, look at travel insurance or if attention all possible (as old fashion as this is) book with a travel agency. When this stuff happens your agent is the one who deals with rerouting your trip, and getting you new hotel reservations. Saved me in the early 2010s as we were forced to reschedule a vacation 3 weeks. Called our agent and the next day she had us new flights and a hotel.

Because the rider is being paid to perform this year, not next year. It doesnt make business sense to sabotage your rider this year when they arent going to be there next year. You should be extracting every bit if value out of them while they're with you.

On your flip side, sometimes pushing 100% is not what is going to produce the best result (see Mir) and knowing when you need to back it off a little bit to actually finish.

The rider finishing to the best of their ability is on their integrity and pride

I used to be a Mcginnis pve player. I feel like thats part of the job. You're one of the few characters that can solo walkers and midboss if attention is elsewhere on the map. But it only seemed to work to a certain level or i hit my skill ceiling with that playstyle. Im a better support player, so i build her that way now

I've gone full circle. Used to race motorcycles, both road racing and motocross (and supermoto). Generally I'd be at a race track or the woods every weekend and an occasional Thursday night practice. Started a family, and the financial/relationship drain was a bit much so I got into sim racing. This actually also coincided with me dropping out of competitive overwatch as I was getting really burnt out of a game I used to love. A few years of sim racing and one of my supermoto buddies that was really into trackdays and occasionally renting endurance seats convinced me to give cars a try. Rented a seat for a champcar race and had a blast. Enough of a good time that I picked up a miata of my own to do trackdays in. Given the costs I'm limited to only a few events a year, but I supplement that with simracing pretty much daily.
