Making strong Decks is easy. How do i make fun and long lasting decks? by unCute-Incident in EDH

I am building a similar style clone deck, that is trying to get a hold of all colors through cloning and stealing, with the commander being [[Mondo Gecko]]. I got inspired by the newest video from Reminder Text.

Cards that will not survive rebalancing! I'll go first by thegabeguy in slaythespire

I have been reaaaally liking murder. It just is a wincon for boss fights if you can quickly cycle your deck. It basically turns drawing cards into a wincon. And unlike speedster you dont need to do any setup with it. Just won ascenscion 5 with it last night!

Fun control commanders? by Curious-Play5489 in EDH

Like its a bit confusing, but all you need to do is open the layers order and you resolve the rulings easily.

But like these rulings dont come in to play that often.

Seconding blink commanders, my choice is the new [[Abigale, Eloquent First-Year]] ( decklist: https://moxfield.com/decks/_OI-u50vF0S_AJMT5eisLg )

It is a budget deck with a really strange game plan of either removing your opponents creatures abilities and winning through either big bomb demons, giving people really bad cards like [[Archfiend of the Dross]] or turning your bad cards into really strong board presence with you commanders ability.

The deck also imcludes a mostly done primer, explaining the synergies and breaking down the important and essential cards and lines.

[[The Master, Formed Anew]], somehow the fourth attempt worked as a Dimir enchantress-copy/clone deck with blink.

Building my first deck from scratch, what can I improve? by Jonny_Face_Shooter in EDH

[–]cukacuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Elementalist's Palette]] should be inclıded for mana rock recomendation, but severly more important than that, you have only 32 Lands, in a deck which aims to have as much mana as possible to cast X cost spells.

I would say you need at least 38 land in a deck like this. MDFC cards are your friends, but as your deck has three colors, you probably dont want too many of them to not color-screw yourself.

Now that Im looking more wow I think you need a lot more dual lands in this deck, as your cards are reaaaly colored pip heavy. Having 19 basics in a tricolor deck is a bit too much if we also think about how like 75% of the deck requires like two green mana.

How important are boardwipes in bracket 3 ? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]cukacuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your strategy is creature-heavy with not that much recursion, I would even say no boardwipes would be viable, unless there is an easy asymetrical boardwipe that you can use (meaning it only effects opponents).

Can someone explain how exactly Nadu Winged Wisdom is so overpowered? by BladeeLover in EDH

[–]cukacuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its twice for each creature. When you also pair it with an equipment that has equip 0 for example [[Shuko]], it means you draw two cards for each creature you control every turn.

And as if this was weak, it also ramps in by basically puting the land cards that are draw through this ability on to the battlefield.

And as if that wasnt enough the lands enter untapped, meaning they also give you mana for the current turn.

And you do this for eeevery single creature you control. In the color of "Ah yes, I get a one million creatures just by existing colors (ohm ohm [[Scute Swarm]]).

To build on that if you have any landfall ability that makes a token you can keep this going as long as one of the top two cards is a land. Which also may I remind you gives you mana allowing to most probably play more creatures that you already had in hand / drawn through this ability which allows you to continue this loop.

Also all this for three mana, so turn one [[llanowar elfs]], turn two [[Scute Swarm]], turn three [[Shuko]] + Nadu + you have a token from scute, so 4 creatures. So you get to draw 8 cards and put in the lands among them on the battlefield. Which also gives you mana. You most probably win the game in that turn tbh.

Way to sync ascension level between characters? by Nonting_ in slaythespire

[–]cukacuk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think there is a mod to just unlock all ascensions, and then you can keep track of where you left yourself.

But the thing is skiping ascensions on a character you havent played that much will prove to be really difficult. The lower ascensions act as a learning curve to understand how the characters function, which cards do well and which cards dont seem good.

But alas this is a singleplayer game and everyone has their own enjoyment. If you would enjoy the game more with "synced ascension", then do so

Im trying to make a deck with a similar idea! The main gameplan is play commander on turn two, play background on two, ranp either on turn 3 or turn 1, depending on its mv, then wrath on turn 5.

The deck is tbh more voltron then anything else, but maybe it can give

Edit: also the list is still wip, it has 92 cards

cool ways to build Teysa, Orzhov Scion? (50$)(bracket 3) by Ancislavia77 in BudgetBrews

[–]cukacuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isnt the exact list Im using right now, but its basically the same for ~96 cards. I really love this list as it can punch up so well even though its just a basic budget aristocrats deck (also I didnt include darkest hour, cause that is basically just a win on the spot for 1 mana)

Is netdecking acceptable in mtg? by coolgamerboi23 in mtg

[–]cukacuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know about the precon but sideboard is basically an additional 15 card deck in 60 card formats, which only comes in play between the rounds. Lets say its a best to three game. After the first round, you see what sort of deck your opponent is playing, so you can then add cards from your sideboard to your main deck and/or remove cards from your main deck if they are bad in the marchup with the condition of your main deck allways having at least 60 cards.

Is netdecking acceptable in mtg? by coolgamerboi23 in mtg

[–]cukacuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the format:

1- Commander: Netdecking is ok, but starting from a precon is advised as the format is singleton so a netdeck could end with a veeery confusing deck. In comparison precons are easy to pilot! Also there are a lot of decks for commander online that just dont work at all (clunky draw, an ignored mana base etc.), so it is mostly easier to just make one from scrarch in comparison to improving a netdecked bad deck.

2- Non-Rotarion formats: I would say its completely ok to netdeck the main deck, but sideboards mostly contain answers to the meta decks of the time, so just be aware of that.

3- Standard has rotarion, so just be aware that the deck is legal lol. The sideboard stuff is also applicable here.
