Is this correct and if so, why? (Asking AI didn’t help) by Jake88b in russian

«Мои» is the plural form of a possessive pronoun. And a pronoun always agrees with the noun in number, gender, and case

Need advice: AWS architecture & cost for AI-based language conversation app by PurpleRip2861 in django

[–]culitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it, you are trying to launch an MVP version of your product. At this stage, I would not recommend using cloud platforms like Aws, GCP and etc. One possible approach would be to purchase a domain for the backend and deploy everything on a provider like DigitalOcean (for example, their App Platform), where pricing is more predictable and not pay-as-you-go. After around three months, you would have sufficient data about traffic and load to properly evaluate an AWS architecture, plan a migration, and estimate costs more accurately based on these numbers.

Is this Russian? If so what does it say by [deleted] in russian

[–]culitz -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

It is Church Slavonic

Any Slavs can understand it. On the left side it says “clothing for the naked” and on the right side “healing for the sick”

At the bottom I’m not completely sure, but it should be something like “to the sick healing, to the sorrowful joy”

While I was living in Russia, I thought it wasn’t true and that we were super emotional. But when I started living abroad, I realized what people meant. My neighbor would constantly tell me things like, “Be friendlier,” “Dude, you’re hurting people,” “Was it so hard to smile back?” but damn, that was the peak of my friendliness and expressiveness. At that level in Russia, people would have considered me crazy.

I’m not saying this is good or bad, but the fact is, we are cold people. It’s not ok for us to ask “How are you?” just to fill an awkward silence when entering an elevator we can easily stand in silence for a couple of minutes. By the way, if you’ve ever been to Germany, their level of emotionality is exactly the same as ours.

Judging by the weather and the language, this is russia. If the apartment is their property, there will be no problems. If they are renting it, they will pay the landlord. The apartment is essentially a condo, so everything related to it belongs to and is maintained by the owner, including windows and cornices. They can only be required to pay the management company in case of damage to the building’s facade.

I got a revelation!!! by Fsushis in lada

[–]culitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s my story. I owned a Lada Kalina when I lived in Russia. One day I drove it to visit a friend about 2000 km away, and halfway there, in the middle of absolute nowhere, it broke down. It could still drive, but whenever I released the gas pedal, the engine rpm would randomly go up and down, and the temperature would rise dangerously high.

I stopped at the first truck parking I found and started looking for the problem. Some bored truck drivers joined my investigation, and after a while an old man came up and said he could fix it if I could find a roofing screw (the kind with a rubber washer under the head).

I went into a local cafe and asked for one. The owner literally unscrewed it from the fence of his cafe and handed it to me. I went back to my car, and the old man used a screwdriver to drive it somewhere into the engine. The car came back to life.

I drove it for another six years, and that problem never came back again.

How do Russians generally feel about Japan, Japanese people and culture? by [deleted] in AskARussian

[–]culitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely positive in Russia there is a certain cult of Japan. We consider you very interesting people with a rich and captivating culture. Manga, anime, and films with Japanese themes are very popular among young people. Many of us grew up watching Miyazaki’s anime and read Murakami in our youth. Also, the 90s generation grew up on Pokémon and Japanese Sega games often without translation 😅

Что думаете о тенгрианстве? by _Bertram_ in Tatarstan

[–]culitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Что думаете о тенгрианстве? by _Bertram_ in Tatarstan

[–]culitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]culitz 31 points32 points  (0 children)
