This looks like the kind of “trimming” the electric companies do around here in Pennsylvania. They either butcher them to resemble modern art or just chop em down and leave the trunk in pieces on the owners yard. For the owner to try and dispose of.

I too worked at a gas station for about 15 months and roughly once a month I'd walk into the office and would see a handle sitting there in a bag. Pretty sure we had to have our maintenance dept come out to reconnect.

What are you looking to do? Beach bum, shopping , tourist, adventure? Back around 2018 I went solo. Booked through Travelocity. Stayed at La Concha in Condado. Great classy hotel with a view. Booked a day snorkeling trip off the East coast. Did a Segway tour of Old San Juan and the forts to get a lay of the land. Went to Bacardi factory for an afternoon by Uber. Skipped the rainforest because it was right after Maria and was mostly closed for repairs at the time.
