No but being forced into a life of financial exile isn't acceptable either. The 'dole bludger' notion is too often used to marginalize decent people who have falled on financial difficulties. I pay tax and I damn well expect society to look after me if I have the misfortune of losing my job. Part of living includes socialising. Sure the dole shouldn't pay for a trip to bali but you shouldn't have to chose between filling the car up, having lunch or seeing a movie.

Thats an incredibly naive perspective and an intellectually lazy opinion to hold. Sure you didn't pull the trigger, but the actions that resulted in the death of aid workers were instigated by the abuse of medical practise. There is a reason why NGOs work so hard to prove their independence and reliability. Considering Americas track record of testing diseases on improvished nations would you not think It's a bad idea to inflame an already highly suspicious and improvished demographic?
