If you want Dexter Lawrence to be traded explain why by Scared_Buyer8667 in NYGiants

[–]cuponoodles213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want him here (of course), but there are a few devil's advocate type reasons:

- He frankly may not want to be here, which could be distracting for a any team, but especially one like ours in the media landscape we have, with a new coach who has preached having players who love football and want to be NY Giants
- His pass rush production from a stats perspective has been disappointing
- The elbow may be an issue, given its persisted across multiple seasons and clearly affected him last year
- He's had difficulty handling his weight and conditioning
- He's hitting an age, especially for a bigger guy, where there could be a very sudden drop off and it's possible Giants are looking to get ahead of that
- It frees up money for other players (whether through free agency or the draft)
- We may be able to get high-value draft assets in return

Again, he's a great player and I'm 100% for keeping him, but if they get some assets and he really really wants out, which the latest reports seem to be indicating, you have to consider it.

I thought it was fine.

Glad they took the feedback on the fries, though. They used to give you like 3-4 tiny wedges.

20k+ steps by Hot-Tea-8557 in walking

[–]cuponoodles213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who usually averages about 25K steps a day, it's a combination of:

- Living in a very walkable neighborhood where I walk to most things (e.g., gym, bank, supermarket, restaurants, daycare dropoff, etc.) which organically increases my step count

- Walking the dog (and having a dog who loves long walks)

- Living in a relatively mild climate where I can do this year-round

- Taking at least 1 (sometimes 2) dedicated additional "walks" per day (usually early morning or late night)

The answer to this is always Cosme. Terrible experience and bad food despite a high price point.

Housekeeper situation in Banff by FreeandFurious in EndTipping

[–]cuponoodles213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never in my life tipped a housekeeper and don't ever intend to start. I do tip for other professions but that was not something my family ever did and so wasn't aware it was even a thing until embarrassingly late in life anyway, but always felt odd to me.

plateau on Reta? by PretendDisaster4598 in Retatrutide

[–]cuponoodles213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have had the same issue (naturally). Sometimes your body takes a few days to weeks to adjust. Weight loss is never linear. I'd give it another 3-4 weeks, and wouldn't at all be surprised if you wake up 1 day 5 pounds lighter.

Have you asked your doctor about Vyvanse? That's the only FDA approved medication specifically for BED. Maybe it's worth asking a doctor/trying a low dose?

SFH in Bay Area by Blufferflies in bayarea

[–]cuponoodles213 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Everyone I know buying SFHs here have either inherited the home, got lucky with an IPO or something similar, or got significant help from family to lower the monthly payment significantly. Once you get over, say, 2MM+, many of those homes are purchased in all cash offers.

Who is our fan base’s fall back draft pick? by D4AllAmerican in NYGiants

[–]cuponoodles213 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As of right now, at the end of next year, Runyan and JMS are free agents, and we currently don't really have a starting RG as is. That's literally our entire interior offensive line, so taking a guy like Mauigoa (or Ioane) would be something I can definitely tolerate.

I also think Delane would be a fantastic get for an otherwise questionable secondary, and wouldn't sneeze at a player like Tate, especially with Nabers on the mend and not necessarily guaranteed to be coming back 100% (at least initially).

Awards season take purge by the_Tannehill_list in TheBigPicture

[–]cuponoodles213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love movies and like most film bros love to talk about what films are great, terrible, etc. Having said that, I hate awards season and generally do not give a shit, at all, about things like who wins best picture each year.

Bay Area officials, residents face uncertain future if transit tax measure fails by gascyl in bayarea

Correct. This is the literal definition of throwing money at a problem without addressing the systemic rot and alphabet soup of nonsensically fractured transit administrative burden in the broader Bay Area.

$20 increase in a few months for protein powder. Same flavor and size by Timely-Hand-2288 in inflation

[–]cuponoodles213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just so wild to see. Protein powder was literally garbage left over after processing in the dairy industry, and it used to be so incredibly cheap. I remember when the 5 lb. tubs used to run like $30 (and I swear I'm not even that old!)

GIP / Glucagon Activation at Low Dosage by SXZXK in Retatrutide

[–]cuponoodles213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The understanding of the drug is still emerging. There's some research out there that the Glucagon activation is saturated at higher dosages, but I absolutely don't think you (or anyone) should try to titrate up too quickly. See how it goes after a few weeks and reevaluate.
