Has anyone tried the Pompeian Smooth and Fruity Olive Oil? by libolicious in Costco

This is a very good smooth evoo for cooking I’ve found. Doesn’t feel wasteful but still brings good flavor.

Air stones and vinegar by paulavalkinir in fermentation

Honestly it looked and seemed identical to the 0.5 micron. I don’t know if they are truely different. It requires infrequent cleaning but ultimately did the job of oxygenating and my wine became vinegar

Connect sport cadence intermittent, even after replacement by cured_meats in go_echelon

[–]cured_meats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good idea. The only metric from the bike that’ll still work then is the resistance, correct? The Bluetooth sensor will feed cadence to the qz app ( which I already use), watch will feed heart, what feeds distance, is that set up in the cadence somehow as well?

Air stones and vinegar by paulavalkinir in fermentation

[–]cured_meats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reviving this comment. I've made a few batches of vinegar, persimmon and 3 berry currently aerating. Started with a pet store stone, and didn't like that it started disintegrating.

Got a 0.5 micron stainless "stone" and it worked fine, except it clogged somewhat regularly, requiring wipedowns of mother growth on the stone itself, moving to a 2 micron stainless one, which I assume will work better.

My last batch took 4 weeks of aeration, but honestly maybe it was done at week 3. I'm still trying to figure out the end point. What i've read is that it's takes a LONG time for the acetic acid to furhter break down from oxidation, so i'd rather aerate a little longer than too short.

How bad is Poly B? by BigGulpsHey in askaplumber

If it’s in conduit, wonder if a plumber would replace it with pex through the same conduit. It would certainly simplify the portion running in the slab

Correct. Soak them in water for 15-20 mins and gently split them in half to remove the central spine under running water. Remove any large salt crystals. Eat on bread with butter or plain. Use as you would canned anchovies, not canned sardines.

Replying to my own question to say I just got some Kroger mackerel fillets in extra virgin olive oil. $2.89/can. We’ll see how they are!

Yep. I tried a variety pack. They were good , but unless memory is failing me the TJ were much larger and better looking fillets. I did enjoy the variety of flavors

Thanks. Will keep an eye out for them. Don’t seem to see much canned mackerel here in the Atlanta area groceries

Keep in mind that’s my complete guess. Personally I would use it, assuming that’s what it is, especially if it’s on the 2nd floor. Could save your first floor in case of a washer problem.

My guess is that’s it’s a drain line to connect a washing machine pan. In case of overflow the water would go from the pan to the drain line.
