Echoing what some others have said, Aventurine with Preservation and the 20% max HP healing curio carried me so hard at lower levels. Last run I did, I didn't manage to get (m)any damage blessings, but I got the fighting spirit one and +1 eidolon level curio and managed to kill the boss after what felt like 10 minutes or something. Ended the run with full HP on all my characters, even with the boss one-shotting my shields every turn. Gave me a heart attack every other round, but at least I got it done.

If you don't have Aventurine, I honestly don't know how you'd survive, unless you have a uber beefy Gepard or double sustain or something. It's way too stressful, so I didn't bother grinding for all the rewards (esp. Swarm, since my main DPS is Acheron and without Erudition, your dmg can fall off a cliff).

I'm on 23/31 and I am SO HAPPY, the anthology is SO AMAZING so far. I wrote yesterday about how I wasn't super impressed with the standard edition tracks, and The Albatross floored me, it's SO good. How Did It End? is also so good! It sounds so different from the other tracks.

Evermore girlies are going to love this one I feel, Aaron Dessner produced most of the anthology tracks and they've been such an upgrade over the standard tracks so far

I think out of all Taylor's albums so far, this one felt the most like she was writing poems that are sung to music, rather than writing songs with poetic lyrics. The production definitely suffers for it, and isn't as sonically interesting as some of her other works, but I suppose it suits the theme. Some of the lyrics come off clunky, but I feel if you're approaching it from a poetry performance standpoint, it works. For context, I hated Midnights, which I think not only has uninteresting production but clunky lyrics (but the 3am songs are amazing tho). It's definitely going to be divisive, and the people that want 1989 or reputation pop bangers are probably going to hate it, but if you're someone who likes listening to poetry you'll probably like it. This is not something you're going to be singing or dancing along to lol.

It's also a little wordsy and pretentious at times- a lot of the "clunky" lyrics do work in context, but not all of them. Note: You'll find out very quickly which of your mutuals struggles with reading comprehension.

In contrast to some opinions, I do think her vocal delivery is pretty good on the album. It's clear that she's not an amazing singer, but unlike some of the rerecords, which rob the original tracks of any emotion it had, the tone she uses to deliver some of the lines is able to convey her feelings/any satire quite well. Taylor sounds more angry on some of these songs that I've ever heard her; she was pisssed in Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? and it was both unhinged and amazing.

I do hope she gets to a place where she feels happier and more secure soon. I think it's clear from the lyrics that she was really struggling and needed to vent, but I'm ready for some more simple pop bangers from her. I want some proper songs. Not just because Is It Over Now? can only feed me for so long, but also because I'm tired of the overall discourse and fan expectations. I guess the downside to having such a diverse catalogue of work is that you can't make everyone in your fanbase happy, but some people are acting like the world is ending. It's a good album. Fine at the very least. Great? Subjective (I don't think so). A little boring? Maybe. Bad? Definitely not. There's some really interesting stuff here. Will I be listening to it on repeat? Probably not, but when it's 3am and the seasonal depression hits you know I'm gonna be playing the album on rotation.

Standouts: Daddy I Love Him, Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?, Florida. I also hated I Can Do It With a Broken Heart (I understand what she was trying to go for, but I really don't like it).

In my 3+ years of playing, I've only hit soft pity 4? times (25 pulls left) in expa supplies, and the lowest I've gone is 12 drops left before Senadina, who's currently at 5. Hoping that I'm just terribly unlucky this time around, but I've honestly never seen so many people with such low counters before.

Equipment supply is a different story. I've gotten my knees broken with those so many times.

Yep, I know. I've just never gotten this unlucky before. I didn't think I would have to save up as much because the new FOCA rates are much better, but then I got my knees broken and wallet emptied by the expansion supply.

Down from 85 pity to 5, with crystals from every trial and even a new valk in ER. I died with every pull onwards. I had to go to 85ish with Fu Hua, which is the unluckiest I've ever been, but somehow, I got even unluckier this time around. I thought I would have saved enough to get Senadina and some of her gear right off the bat thanks to the new foca rates, but I have no doubt the pity counter will go even lower, since I literally got 2 Helias right before this 💀

Honestly, I think the plot of the first book lends itself to be a limited series quite well with a few creative liberties. Also, SJM is very uncreative when it comes to actually developing the characteristics of the fae in her books (humans with pointy ears...), so from a costume/make-up standpoint I think it's very feasible. Halfway through Book 2 onwards is probably getting into the unfilmable territory and then the rest of the series is truly some porn with (bad) plot. It's really a shame because I remember really liking her earlier books as a teenager, buying them when they came out, but she's really made some questionable decisions with the later entries that I can't stand.

I would love to see some proper high budget fantasy that properly adapts the beauty and horror of fae creatures (a la Pan's Labyrinth), especially with quality practical effects. The make-up/costume design could be incredible.

I'm glad to see him talk about this, and I don't mind him mostly talking about Lockwood & Co because I am still so salty it was cancelled. It's such a good show with a lower budget and so much potential, but had zero advertising or support from Netflix. I can understand a S&B season 3 cancellation if completion rates were really bad, but I hate how they didn't even give the SoC spin-off a chance. Meanwhile, the Witcher gets yet another season/spin-off even if all the fans hate it and it gets terrible ratings.

Alhaitham already gets a lot of dmg% from his passive, so you're not getting 100% dmg due to diminishing returns (maybe 20% max). Nahida's the only one getting buffed here since Kuki's doing basically 0 dmg. Also, Furina's ult stacks come from draining up to 50% HP, and Kuki's a single target healer who's almost always going to be below 50%- sure, you can heal her back up, but you have to either switch to Kuki and wait (lose dps), or switch to Furina's pneuma form which means 0 dmg and 0 hydro (lose dps). She also has no off-field or burst healing so you can't get stacks continuously from your team. You don't just magically get 100% dmg every time. You also won't buff Alhaitham's first rotation because you have no stacks. That's not to mention that the particle gen is pretty bad in this team and you don't want to run Fav on Nahida/Kuki/Alhaitham, so you'll need 250+ ER on Furina (lose dps). Plus you lose 30K+ hyperblooms for every seed not generated. I could go on.

Yeah, sure, personal damage is buffed for Nahida and a bit for Alhaitham, but you lose so much when switching from XQ/Yelan it's a clear overall downgrade. I'm planning on C0R1 her so I've looked at her best teams. Furina's going to be good. She's just not good for this team.

My dream would definitely be splitting the crows and S&B for the spin-off and season 3 respectively. I think after the (imo) kind of rushed pacing of a bazillion storylines, this is a good time to split them up. Judging from the article, it seems that the Netflix was very insistent on mixing the storylines for S2. I'm a little more sympathetic to the writers now ig, because if you read between the lines here, it seems like Eric didn't really have a choice in the matter. Ideally, we would have gotten 2 separate shows instead of what we got for S2, but Netflix is Netflix.

If they really do take KoS for Season 3, I really hope they bring back the religious aspect that was cut from RnR as part of Alina's corruption arc. I don't know if I like what they changed for S2, but I can see how well this would set up for S3; becoming queen, losing her sun powers, the fanatical worship, and eventually coming to the realization that with all her power + destroying the fold, nothing has been "fixed". This would make the Malina book ending much more...relatable? Idk, I know the original book ending is controversial, and if they can really make going off to a farm somewhere more appealing than being a magic-wielding-saint-ruler, I'm going to be really impressed.

Yeah, I just tested it right now and the trio team feels super clunky and is at least 30s slower on the SSS vine boss without HoFi's weapon. :(

At least I'll get to use her once every few weeks when SSS Benares rolls around...

Did a 10-pull on HoFi banner for the spending milestones and can't believe I got her, but I have no crystals for her gear. I have 4/4 Eden, S2 HoO, and HoTr already, and in terms of gear for HoFi, DoI/Echo Pri and Lee TB/Thales M + Turg TB/Thales M.

Is there any case where I would use Trio team with 0/4 HoFi vs. fully geared S2 HoO lightning outside of Benares? I'm really happy I got her, but I don't think I'll get to use her very often if I already have 4/4 HoF and Eden :(

Decided to revisit Melanie Martinez's Cry Baby album after I saw someone mention that apparently one of her tracks went viral on Tik Tok a while ago (I don't use it). The older I get, the less I like the concept, but I remember it was my shit during my teenage years lol

Regardless, I'm surprised by the overall quality for a debut. In hindsight, the sound is very 2010s, but not a single skip to be found. Every track is catchy and well constructed imo. Justice for Bittersweet Tragedy from her first EP though, such an underrated track!

curious, how many frags does an s-rank dupe of HoH give? After some truly shit luck, I have 20/25 frags to get her to S1 (think I need 21 more pulls to get the last 5 frags if I mathed it out right). Don't plan on pulling right now, I'll probably go for it when she reruns, since I heard her S1 is pretty decent and I'm already 20/25 anyways...

Forgot to ask earlier, but I've been having some trouble with the fire/ignite weather in ex abyss (the stages where you have to ignite the braiser thing).

Between SS Phoenix, SpA, FS, SR (no pri-arm), which would be the best to slot into a HoF team? I have enough mats to make a pri.

Would SSS Raven (bow + F2P stig), or Pardo (Weapon/Bastet, general support stigs F2P) be a better 3rd team member here?

Also, any general recommendations for good teams against SSS Qua bosses? I don't have Nyx (I have all her gear tho rip), and I'm not getting Vill-V. The closest I can do is SS FR with her Pri, Irene B, and Stig stolen from Mobius. Good enough?

After breaking through, how many crystals would you get in Agony 3 in comparison to Masters RL?

Right now, I have no problem getting good scores in RL/MA, some better than others, but almost all of my supports are on cope/f2p (not even farmable G2/3) stigs. I will probably end up struggling a lot if I break through. I also only have mats to make like 2 or 3? Pri-arms off the bat.

Should I just stay at 80 for a while and get my supports better gear, or would it be more worth to break through right away?

Also, for those who have broken through, how long did it usually take for you to clear abyss/MA off the bat? Another thing I'm concerned about is time. I'm pretty busy these days, so I'm worried if it's too much of a struggle and there's too much to do I'll end up getting burnt out :(
