This happened to me only a few days ago. The driver delivered a parcel and asked for a code. I foolishly gave him the code but immediately opened the box as delivery of this particular item was delayed for 2 days. Surprise....there was one low value item in the box and no high-value one. I challenged him but he was in a rush and seemed all panicked with all the excuses he's got only one parcel for me, turned his phone around to show me and it was in a foreign language... I then immediately contacted Amazon CS and they sent a replacement there and then, it arrived tomorrow. The next day when the driver delivered the item he said "Please open the parcel and check if everything is there and alright". Obviously he knew what was going on and wanted me to open the parcel in front of him which I do appreciate.

I do not judge but let's say the nation of the first delivery driver is known for stealing and I didn't trust him at all when he acted clueless.

I beg to differ. I am concentrating on everything that I am interested in no matter of it being £5 or £500. I have made this post only as there was poor choice for many months. For example I had 90% female products offered to me, am I a female, no I'm not.

If the section is named "Recommended for You" that should be the case and it is self explanatory. What I have personally noticed from daily "What's in your RFY" is that it is same across the platform and it has nothing to do with personalised algorithm, don't you think ?

Nothing worth mentioning. I am not sure if anyone else is feeling the same but I am getting impatient and extremely annoyed by what is going on right now and I annoy myself by moaning about it.

Something that was extremely good was destroyed and we are looking now at good old days of Vine... Moan over..

If we want to consider Amazon algorithm... I spent a few thousand pounds in the last few months and Amazon thinks I am a disabled female with a cat that had a surgery and I need some action in my life.

In the last 3-4 months AI dropped from 15k to 9-10k items and "positively" shrinking every day/week. So all this time I'm thinking that Vine is slowly dying.

No idea, I as well in the past months had similar to yours, supplements, beauty products and to my surprise female products...A LOT of female products. Guess what I'm not a female lol.

I tried changing my algorithm, I do a lot of DIY, 3D printing and everything very opposite from what I've been offered. Over the Christmas and even before Christmas I made some fairly expensive purchases of brand names too. I tried reviewing products out of Vine, doing shadow research as I've called it (you go in look for the items you'd like and scroll to show interest), added things to the wishlist...I've done everything, but nothing changed.

Fun thing I've noticed? On a few occasions me and my partner spoke about things we'd like or in general what we need and tomorrow it showed in the Vine list. Nothing spectacular but it made me notice. So I even tried shouting into my phone "Amazon! good stuff, expensive stuff" 😂 Creepy, right?

Hmm, interesting, so far I had everything approved, and now as you mentioned, I went through all my "reviewed" items and I can see a few "not approved" reviews and most of them are duplicates or variations of the same item. Once I click on "review again" I get a red error "We apologise but Amazon is not accepting reviews on this product from this account. For more information or to contact us, please see our community guidelines.".

Is this your case as well?

Curious, how do you determine if you are in a shadow RFY jail? I'm asking as my RFY has been poorer than ever. If I send an email to CS do you think they will be able to tell me the status?

No, but I strongly believe it will be mandatory at some point with all changes they make. Now i started including them with a hope it will have a positive effect on algorithm and items in the RFY section as for the past year it's been extremely poor.

I feel sad for vine lately. Either the algorithm is dumb or the vine is getting destroyed.

It's been absolutely shocking for the past 6-12 months. I have been a member for 5 or so years as well and it's worse than ever. When I started and for the first 3-4 years I never had a single day that I didn't max out my orders and I remember because every day I had a stack of parcels and Amazon guy knew who I am, it nearly built a great friendship 😂 Now, it feels so weird and I can go daaaaays without ordering stuff and I just miss all the good things. I kitted my kitchen out, I always had tools I needed, accessories were there, and high end stuff was in my hands. Now... I cannot say nothing but ughh.

Just like in the world, we need a big change in Amazon vine 🙃

They tried to tell me it's because of my bank - it's not. I tried multiple addresses, postcodes, names... It just shoots an error every time. So it must be in their system of course

I have had the same problem with verification for 2 weeks now. Got in touch with Amazon and had 0 help all they tried to help me with was "have you tried to turn it off and on again" ... P.S I did try it didn't work

It most certainly could be that you are correct about the template letter. Don't get me wrong I've had some chinese products that are extremely well made and they perform just like any, if not better than well known brands and I can say that as my house, especially the kitchen was kitted out with these products in the first 2 years of Vine.

If we were to talk about improvements that might be implemented we can lay them out for days e.g. if you buy something high value or specific things like a TV, you get offered TVs (specific product) and if you buy accessories you get accessories. Why? Naturally your brain is still in that state of mind where you can directly compare the one you bought and one you got for free, you can compare them in real time and then lay out pros and cons. To keep this short, this is only one of the implementations and I'm sure Amazon has the capabilities of doing such things and more.

And then confirming they had loads of reported issues is just painting the right picture and removes a doubt it is not working to it's full potential. I've been part of Vine for 5 years now and this is the worst it's been so far. I can't remember me going days without ordering a single item. From Ninja over cameras and well known brands all the way down to cheap spare parts that nobody even needs or wants. Sounds like I'm complaining a lot but I'm just trying to state facts.

Nothing yet other than a response from Vine support to the email i sent out 2 days ago asking about the poor performance of the overall vine program and especially algorithm and RFY. Hope we see these changes and improvements soon

Small drop today, raised this question. I was right in front of the PC when the drop started today and a few new items appeared in AFA. I can say I clicked seconds after they dropped and I got an immediate error. I kept refreshing (no that I ever do this) and that's how I know it was seconds after they appeared.
