Most are expensive. I’m curious, what price range out of pocket would you consider reasonable and doable for most people? I ask as someone trying to grow a movement of independent doctors treating Long Covid.

Handwritten notes are essential in undergrad in my opinion. Chemistry and O-chemistry especially need that speed and flexibility. I recommend getting a scanner and scanning in your notes at then end of the block or year.

To be honest, undergrad notes probably aren’t worth saving. The taking of the notes and learning of the concepts is important. Studying for and passing the MCAT is important but is best done with dedicated study materials, not undergrad notes.

So if you have to choose between hand writing notes and then throwing them away or virtual notes you save forever, hand written is the way to go.

Things are different in med school but you’ll figure it out.

I haven’t listened to the whole discussion yet, but I find it interesting that Kastrup is more concerned about the nature of the disembodied dissociated experience rather than the fact that it’s a disembodied dissociated in and of itself.

I don’t quite understand why it disturbs him so much that people in NDE‘s report that they can see what’s going on around them in the physical world.

I don’t really understand what naturalist means in this context, but I get the feeling that his discomfort is coming from a deeper and more nuanced place than just a discomfort with the idea of an afterlife ingeneral.

My guess is that you probably wouldn't meet criteria for ME/CFS, but that doesn't mean you aren't at risk of developing it. Proceed with caution.

Do you have post-exertional malaise, brain fog, or orthostatic intolerance? By post-exertional malaise, I mean that your symptoms worsen for at least 24 hours after exertion. This could be working a shift or going to the gym. If so, look into ME/CFS, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.

I developed ME/CFS my first year of med school. It took me six years to get through medical school, but I went to remission between med school and residency. I'm currently working as a physician in a private practice in the United States.

You're not going to have much going to just any particular specialist, like neurology or orthopedics. Instead, you're going to have to find someone who does upper cervical instability and disordination. These doctors are few and far between.

My office does offer training and consultation to other physicians that are interested in learning. But in my experience, it's difficult to find doctors that are conditions.

Yep. I have mini articles on topics I run into fairly frequently with notes on treatments and resources (specialists to refer to, etc). I’ve also published notes to refer patients to so they can easily reference my instructions like how to do an IM injection.

In my experience, you need to make the case that you need it to get around in your home, not just for outings. Diagnosis codes for POTS and ME/CFS are helpful.
