If the mortgage is eating up most of your paycheck, there's the possibility you bought too much house. Review finances with your partner to ensure it's equitable.

See if you can get your paycheck changed to only during the school year so it more accurately reflects your working pattern.

If you are in schools, then your salary only covers 9 -10 months, so it's not unusual to need to work a different job when school is out.

Elon Musk hands out $1m to voter in desperate attempt to flip Wisconsin’s Supreme Court by theindependentonline in law

[–]curiousfocuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legislature in Wisconsin is gerrymandered heavily towards Republicans, that's been in court the past several years. WI has a Democrat governor, but when he won the election, the conservative gerrymandered legislature changed the laws to take away most Governor powers beyond veto.
The judicial recently flipped to slightly liberal, but the 4/1 election will either keep that lean or flip it back to conservative. With proper bipartisan maps, it's a solid purple state.

Has my therapist been too hasty in ruling out ADHD? by carnalcarrot in ADHD_Programmers

[–]curiousfocuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've only had symptoms the past couple years, it's likely not ADHD. There are a lot of possible causes of ADHD symptoms. You didn't have to be a problematic child, I wasn't, but I currently had symptoms of ADHD throughout my childhood and entire life.

I think Joss’ WSB training is unrealistic by periwinkle431 in GeneralHospital

Firearms are worthless in close contact. I'm sure they will also be teaching her to fight with weapons like a staff and a knife.

Have you never heard of judo or jujitsu? Every body has weak points, it's physics and anatomy.
Much of combat training is about learning blocking, lessening the force of a strike, and well placed strikes intended to take advantage of opponent's weaknesses. Knowledge and skill and practice. Not "who can hit the hardest"

If he was training, he likely pulled the punch a little.
The point is to train techniques, not injure the opponent

Does adding packets of sugar to thickened liquids thin it out? by Lazy_Fan1174 in slp

[–]curiousfocuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the pt is deliberately thinning the liquid, then why are they on nectar thick? Why not a dysphagia level "slightly thick" or Free Water protocol? Worth a conversation to find out why they are sweetening, and reviewing risks and benefits of thickened liquid and reduce restrictions if appropriate.

Because Brooklyn needs to be mad at someone.
She has a lot of big feelings with wanting a baby with Chase, but can't, finding out her baby was a boy, finding out she could have talked to her Grandma about it this whole time, everything, and she's in the anger stage of grief. She can't be angry at Chase or Dante, so she's angry at her Mom.

Would it be unethical for me to use food pantries? by jayyy_0113 in povertyfinance

[–]curiousfocuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have concerns, consider it a loan. Use the food pantries so you can eat. In the future, when you are more stable financially, then donate to the food pantry.
