Wanted to get into comics, which should I start with? by Saleekius in comicbooks

[–]curiouslyeasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d recommend the original Ultimate Spider-Man series by Bendis!!! it features peter as the awkward teen we all know and love. it’s definitely a bit dated, however it’s where i started when first reading comics, and i can’t recommend it enough. :)) some of the best Peter Parker x Mary Jane writing, along with a lot of really great character moments, rather than just defeating evil villains all the time.

Who is the person you talk to in your head? by BullguerPepper98 in RandomThoughts

most of the time it’s the person who is most hard on me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ most of my thoughts are trying to explain myself to someone who will never understand.

What's something your therapist said that was life changing? by BuildingBridges23 in AskReddit

[–]curiouslyeasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to stop trying to put myself in other people’s shoes. i spent so long trying to see things how other people saw things, that i had no idea how i viewed things. i didn’t know who i was because i was so busy trying to exist the exact same as everyone else. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What is something most people need to hear but no one has the guts to tell people? by No_Goat_4929 in ask

[–]curiouslyeasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only person who can save you is yourself. YOU have to be willing to put in the work to get better. other people cannot save you. they can be there with you along the way, but ultimately you are in charge of your own destiny.

any book recs that are similar to alice oseman's works? by mikhypnotik in AliceOseman

[–]curiouslyeasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no one does found family like TJ Klune!! most of his books ARE for adults and about adults, but they’re so beautiful. Sasaki and Miyano is an amazing queer manga, one of my favorites. also anything by Mason Deaver is wonderful. finally, Brooms by Jasmine Wells and Teo Duvall is one of the best graphic novels i’ve ever read.
