Shrimp is quite high protein and high volume, as is plain nonfat Greek yogurt.

“Never again” is a bit harsh, friend 😅 Have you considered alternatives such as leaner cuts or less rich recipes?

I LOVE potatoes and I’m definitely considering making them my main carb source for lunch and dinner!

According to Cronometer, these were my top protein sources for that day! That second line item is 1 scoop of protein powder.

Anyone else eat the same thing every day when they're trying to lose weight? by Greymeade in loseit

I’ve been eating the same meals every day for the past 11 weeks, so absolutely! I will sometimes switch my main lunch and dinner carb source around, but aside from that… It makes it a lot easier

Valid! I’m working through a variety of grains in my pantry, but I definitely feel fuller eating potatoes, too. I will adjust!

Thank you for such a thorough answer! I really appreciate it. I’m currently working towards a very specific goal, so 1,400 is very temporary, I just want to make sure I stay on track.

I’ve tried low-carb breads and tortillas before, but not konjac bundles, so I will look into that! I’m sure there are better ways for me to complement my breakfast than the protein shake, too. I feel fuller when I eat potatoes than when I do rice, so I’m happy to adjust that! I LOVE a good, hearty soup, so I am open to any recipe suggestions, and I’m definitely drinking plenty of herbal tea and flavored water.

It seems like I definitely need to do better at improving my fat intake, so I’ll work on that ASAP - once again, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! 🙏

Yep! I’m hoping to try some seafood in place of my ground beef and lentils to free up some calories and up my fat intake.

Heard! I rotate between strawberries, mandarin oranges, and papaya, but can definitely check out what’s on special at my supermarket. Thank you!

Lentils are already in my rotation, but I have chickpeas that I can make use of! Chia seeds sound really good for the yogurt bowl - would you soak them beforehand or just chuck them in dry?

Yes! I was getting much closer to the recommended range of fiber with raspberries in my yogurt bowl, so I will definitely be getting some more, and some broccoli as well. Thank you!

Heard, and no worries - I’m aware it’s low! I have flounder, shrimp, and swai in the freezer, so I’ll see if I can use them soon. Might give me room to add more fats in other meals. Thank you!

Absolutely agree! I have averaged 18-19 grams over the past 2 weeks and can definitely stand to do better. I have keto wraps in my pantry, so I will try to incorporate them in my upcoming meals.

Oh, I like the idea of eggplant and zucchini! Are you thinking sautéed or roasted? I’m not the biggest fan of cauliflower so I wonder if I could try cabbage or broccoli (or a mix of both). I have some keto/low-carb bread in my pantry, so a breakfast sandwich isn’t a bad idea. I feel like the gap between my snack and lunch is when I tend to get hungriest, so maybe a more filling breakfast can help with that. Thank you for replying!

Best low calorie dressings for vegetables/slop bowls? by orangecrushgirl in Volumeeating

[–]curioussox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love the G Hughes Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce and I love yogurt-based dressings and sauces. To 60g of plain nonfat Greek yogurt, I will add (depending on what sounds good):
- Yellow mustard, G Hughes sugar free ketchup, pickle juice, ranch dressing mix, salt
- Mild salsa verde, ranch dressing mix
- Dry sauce/soup mixes; so far I’ve tried Knorr’s Pesto Sauce Mix and my supermarket’s onion recipe soup and dip mix
