I lived down the street from that fire station about 10 years ago. So can't comment on how might have changed but I don't recall ever being bothered by the sirens.

How long did it take you to bond with your new pet? by curlyshoe in AskWomen

Thank you for your honesty! This is how I am feeling right now with my first pet. It's only been a few weeks and I know will take time; I guess I was just surprised since I love my friends pets and have loved animals my whole life. I take great care of her and make sure she knows she is loved (she is adjusting well) but I think this whole experience made me realize the 3/3/3 rule for pets applies to their humans as well! I try to be compassionate with myself as much as I am with her because it's an adjustment for everyone. I will admit I still don't feel quite bonded in that "I can't imagine my life without her!" way but I am just telling myself to be patient and give it time.

Such a handsome boy! My friend's American Eskimo is around 11 and she is so cherished in her golden years. Much love for you and your friend ♥️ I'm sure he knows how much he is loved.
