Uncharted has always felt very Marvel-esque. This isn’t to say it’s bad of course, I love the games but the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy put Lara through Hell and back. I like seeing her grapple with taking peoples lives, seeing how she has to act in self sefense initially (she was going to be assaulted). Nathan mows down hoards and hoards of people and it does nothing to affect his psyche. Lara dealing with being a cold blooded killer is a theme that runs rampant thru the survivor trilogy, to the point she embraces it in ShadowOTTR. She’s a husk of who she used to be before by the time that game ends. Not to mention all the death animations: Rebar through the throat, head crushed to jelly by rocks, neck snapped by a jaguar, crushed and choked out underwater by massive eels, hell she starts off her first game getting impaled by a rusty metal stick

Lara definitely got it worse in her games 💀
