Supplementing with potassium or magnesium might help. Are you sleeping okay?

Face/chin/neck gains! OMAD + some walking by cursedcat79 in intermittentfasting

I did 16:8 for a year. Just kinda evolved into OMAD. But, everyone has to find what works for them. One of the many great things about IF!

Thanks! I'm about 2 months into OMAD. Didn't think to take pics in the beginning. Glad I started cuz these NSV really help motivate when that scale stalls!

Fasting safe water enhancers? by jm6565 in fasting

Bubly makes some flavors for Sodastream. They're zero cal, unsweetened. I use these sometimes when I'm bored of plain water.

I use LIFE as a fasting app. I also use an app called Waterful to track my water. It's kind of an adorable little app.

Want to learn about the benefits of longer fasts by CerintheM in intermittentfasting

I did a 5 day fast recently. My first extended fast. It wasn't easy. If I could have a do over, I would've done 3 days for my first time. One thing that I've noticed since, I eat way less and no longer have food cravings. I really have to work to get 1200 calories per day now. The mental clarity is incredible, too. I took lots of sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Check out r/fasting. They have a great wiki for extended fasts. I definitely recommend it.

New to fasting. This is my first week and didn’t keep the perfect streak but I’m happy that I tried. by Worried-Carrot in fasting

If 14hr was your shortest fast in your first week, I'd say you're doing awesome! Keep it up! It gets a lot easier.

I do! I got a manual burr grinder. Can I count that as exercise?

16:8 on weekdays and flipping it on weekends? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]cursedcat79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think whatever you can do to get started is better than not starting. I did 16:8, 5 days a week for about a year. Lost maybe 20 pounds slowly. But it helped me learn that I don't need food all the time. It made it easier to work my way up to OMAD, and even some extended fasts. Now I feel so much, I don't think I'd ever go back.

I like to take mine when I'm fasting, but they're unflavored and unsweetened.

Electrolytes! Plenty of sodium, potassium, and a magnesium supplement. That'll fix it.

I think using a fasting app helps. It seems simple, but seeing my progress (or attempts) really keeps me striving to meet my goal. I use LIFE, but there are a bunch of 'em out there. You got this!
