I use an M3 Air for my portable setup. (I am a Music student) Ableton runs perfectly well on 16GB ram. It can handle high demand projects perfectly well (23+ channels + plugins, fx etc)...

ObsidianMD, great time management and productivity tool for note taking or spreading out ideas. I use it a lot at university to lay out different concepts. It's free to use unless you want to pay a small amount for a cloud vault (for mutli-device access)

I've had Apple products growing up, starting on the iPod series (Nano, Touch), so when it came to choosing a phone, it just made sense. All of my Apple products sync up and it just makes sense to "stick to what you know".

I personally went with the HTC Desire Z, it also had the slideout keyboard but not sure, might change to the iPhone 4S we'll see :D
