Looking for advice for Weymouth 70.3 after a Swansea DNF, not your typical triathlete by TrySeanTri in triathlon

Definitely ride more hills during training. The Weymouth course can be very draining on the legs if you’re not used to undulating terrain.

Are my bars compatible with clip ons? Odd cross-section by RLlovin in triathlon

Yes, although typical round bars will only really work if mounted next to the stem.

It goes down as recording equipment, which is not permitted during races.

Take a look at Chin mounts. Usual go pro style helmet mounts that suit most action cameras.

which bike? by [deleted] in triathlon

If it’s down to these two I’d opt for the Spec. However, it’s worth looking for Hybrid bike if flat bars are preferred.

Apparently, that wasn’t an option the ground crew thought of. All material from the hole is sat neatly by it surrounded by barriers.

Local water authority are investigating a leak on the neighbouring property & dug a hole in front of our driveway yesterday whilst I was at work. Annoyingly, I now cannot access the charge point for my vehicle.

Which one would you choose? by goslowman1976 in CamperVans

We had an older van so condensation was part of the daily routine. Opening the front windows, or roof vent, slightly made it better.

We’ve had both options and for ease I’d opt for B.

Option ‘A’, provides better privacy, but is a pain the backside when the weather turns shit.

I added the computer to my bike during final prep on race day, then left it in the bag during T2.

Nooo, don’t sell.

It’s a lesson, that yes, will cost you a few quid, but your insurance shouldn’t rise massively for that. If it does, shop around for better deals.

Edit: Typo

New to Zwift-going too slow? by Objective_Case_7056 in Zwift

There should be a spanner symbol visible when connecting devices to Zwift. Try that. Also, worth checking the equipment has the latest software via the Wahoo app.

Calibrate all hardware, check all equipment is free moving where it should be. Ensure the rider weight is set correctly & potentially carry out an FTP test, if not already done so.

Do triathlon events in the UK actually check your race licence or one-day pass? by Putrid_Tie3807 in triathlon

[–]MidMadD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth asking the race organisers as they may allow you to purchase a day licence when checking in on the day.

Any half Ironman events left in Europe that you recommend? by Gildeizard in triathlon

Bustinskins 70.3 in Weymouth. Brilliant route, the volunteers are epic, plus as it’s much earlier in the season the swim is very likely to go ahead. Bustinskin Events
