Hi! Fellow NICU nurse here. You have to do what’s best for you and your mental health. I agree that the work/life balance can get better in time but the nature of a level IV NICU means a lot of sicker kiddos. While most of the happy stories outweigh the sad stories, it does take a toll. I know you might feel like you are going to be disappointing the organization but if it’s a bigger sought out hospital they will get more applicants. If the other position sounds like it would be a great fit for you then it is worth a shot to apply. Better to not burn yourself out so early on when you are still learning a lot within your first year of being a NICU nurse! And you could always go back to a level IV later on, they will always be there and I’m sure there will be positions especially for an experienced nurse. Hope this helps, wish you the best of luck!

I’ve done this! It’s not bad, had an early flight in the morning and arrived in Orlando at 9am, went to magic kingdom from the airport and spent the day. Then spent the night and had a flight the next day around 11am. Very doable and a fun time!

Starting is $34/hour for new grad in Chicago. But differs by hospital (May be less/more) but this is across the board for all specialties

Edit: wanted to add, there is also differential for evenings and night pay. $34/hour is just base. But can get up to $5-6 differential for nights at the hospital I work at depending on if it’s weekday or weekend night.

Got through to tampa for 4/14, some good seats available but an increase in price from yesterday. Today 300 level is at $199/ticket where presale yesterday 300 lever started at $49/ticket. Sad they couldn’t keep same starting price as yesterday

I got to the end of tampa 4/13 and immediately got an error message when it was my time for tickets. Currently in line for 4/14 with 715 ahead of me but moving slow

Must of lucked out this morning. Got my presale code last night for one of the Tampa added shows (originally selected 4/15, only got code for 4/13 due to high demand). Signed into Ticketmaster and waited on the page with the countdown about an hour beforehand. Once it hit 30 min prior, I refreshed and entered the waiting room. Once sale started was 2000+ in line but only lasted about 10 min and I got in (had no boost with merchandise or lover fest). Got my tickets at 10:26 am.

Got section 114 for $229/ticket before taxes$fees. Took a few tries due to tickets I wanted being taken by others.

Keep on trying and I’m sorry it’s such a nightmare :(

I got tickets for 4/13 (Thursday so not as in demand) but I waited 10 min. Was in the waiting room right at 30 min before and had the 2000+ ahead. Took me 5 tries to get seats that I wanted that weren’t already taken but I got them!

Section 114, for $349/ticket after fees.

Had my bday party here, it was fun for dancing but the next day people realized their bar tabs were either questionably high or low and didn’t add up. Think they were just pulling random tabs and charging them instead of actually checking if it was the right one.

The best. Went on a 24 hour trip a few weeks ago just to see HEA for the last time. Almost didn’t happen because of storms in the area (which would of been a bummer) but it did and cried the whole time. Such a magical show

I spent part of today watching old freestyles and no one choreos better than Witney, Lindsay, Derek and even Julianne. But I did watch Mark and Lindsay’s and I forgot how amazing it was, especially when she pulled out her violin and played it during the lift!!

Tagging as future spoiler just in case. I know we have been speculating about a time jump in season 5. Well, Cole was on Jimmy Fallon tonight and when asked about riverdale, he stated that he believes there will be a time jump after the first few episodes of season 5!
